Brilliant. |

Colorado Girl Scouts told not to sell cookies outside pot shops 'A marijuana dispensary isn't a place for young girls to be selling cookies' Yeah, I have no problem with marijuana--either for medical use or "other," and think it should be full legalized, and, yet, the idea of having elementary aged kids selling cookies outside of a pot shop gives me pause. A mother in the article compared it to selling cookies outside of a CVS, which, in the case of a medical marijuana shop seems like a legitimate analogy. Still. I don't think I'd have my kid do it. I wouldn't let them sell Girl Scout cookies, either :)

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() They wouldn't be encouraged to sell them outside of liquor stores, gun ranges, or adult book stores, either. All legal, but I wouldn't want a bunch of tween/teen girls hanging out there. They pretty much stick to outside of grocery stores. |

I don't see a problem with it, good smart marketing,,,,, but as most of you know, I'm a Capitalist Pig. The parents that have good relationships with their children and are open, honest and do a good job of communication with them won't see any life scarring emotional trauma. But in this day and age it seems we have a tendency to judge or legislate to the lowest common denominator. Now where did n f'n bag of Cheetos go? |

One thing grocery stores sells the others do not is cookies. Here you go in front of a place that that is direct competition. Could I set up a hotdog stand in front of McDonald's? At least the pot place does not sell cookies and if they did they are not the kind for kids. I do give the girl a snap for thinking of a good location. Just maybe not a good idea. |

I would be curious as to hear why in you opinion it's "not a god idea". IMHO, the USA has really jumped the shark in the realms of perception and reality. It appears to me we get more wrapped up in the perception of actions or legislation rather than the actual effects of the actions or legislation. I could go on and list a number of the current topics over the last year but I don't want to de-rail this thread. As a side note, far fewer people have died or gone to the ER from legal or illegal MJ than they have from other "prescription meds". |
