Just have to tell someone...

went for a sprint bike / run yesterday (15mile / 2 mile)

on the run, about 45 seconds from home, crossing some railroad tracks both of my feet managed to get caught in 12 inch metal ring. I was down in a blink with barely the time to get my hands in front of me. bruised left knee, banged and bruised left calf bone, bruised / scraped above the right knee, and a throbbing right palm (now turning colors with sharp pain in the wrist.)

am surprised my head didn't smash into the rails!!!

hurt like a binch...

  • ..and I was afraid I was going to wipe out on the bike since I have not been on the road in weeks!!!

I'm glad the train didn't come.

    Hope you heal up quick!

I got a different kind of run rash this weekend.  Did a long run and let's just say I know EXACTLY where to put the bodyglide before my next long run!  Ouch.

Well, I had that thought this morning -- if I had been konked out, who knows...

Oh well, it didn't, now I just get to look at a black-blue hand.

Looks like a lot of swimming this week.

Bodyglide is the giggle berries friend.  Taint it?

You sound like me. Although I didn't get bloody, I managed to turn each of my ankles twice yesterday. Ain't it great?

Oh, and that's why I started shaving my legs again. Pulling a bandage off hurts a lot less when you don't have wookie hair.

I relearned the need fo shaven legs. I actually tore the bandage in half. So, twice the pain. Anyhow. Ouch.

I didn't understand what bodyglide was so useful for until this weekend. My trusty running shorts are ok for 12 mile runs, but apparently start chafing during half marathons. No idea why they never did it before, but by mile 5 my legs were bleeding!

Ouch. And I was afraid of taking my bike on the road with new clipless pedals. Maybe I should watch out for my feet.

Just another reason why we should all be couch potatoes... Hope your hand heals quickly!

Could your hand possibly be broken?  Have you gotten it checked out by the doctor?
