Subject: Whatcha gonna do this weekend?

So I'm at work on national "why am I here day", but I'm not really doing much but thinking about the weekend. Here's my plan (training and otherwise)

  1. I will ride stationary bike at lunch (trying to break 12.5 miles in 30 min)
  2. Swim this evening early
  3. I have a sushi class tonight (woohoo!)
  4. Drink some margaritas
  5. Tomorrow I am going to a party for a friend of mine (TNT coach and all that) who is celebrating 5 years in remission.
  6. Drink some margaritas
  7. Long fixed-gear ride Sunday
  8. Drink some margaritas
  9. Long MTB ride Monday
  10. Drink some margaritas

I'm driving over to the western slope tonight to visit my folks. There will be some good food and lots of alcohol consumed. Other than that, I'm gonna:

1. Ride up Steven's Gulch (>1000 ft in 3 miles) and go for one much longer, relatively flatter ride near Crawford)
2. Run on the ditch road
3. Watch my puppies swim in the ditch and enjoy my family...

I'm currently counting the minutes 'til it's time to leave work.  Then I'm going to:

  1. Drive up to Steamboat Springs
  2. Go to the opening of an art show I have some paintings in this month
  3. Soak in hot tub at swanky hotel
  4. Wake up and run tomorrow morning
  5. Soak in hot tub at swanky hotel again
  6. Spend Sat. morning looking at property to buy near Steamboat
  7. Do lunch with and take hubby's parents to see previously mentioned art show
  8. Meet a bunch of friends at the top of Rabbit Ears Pass to camp Sat night
  9. Hike Sunday morning
  10. Drive 1 hour to Granby where my in-laws live
  11. Hang with the in-laws and hubby's grandparents
  12. Drive home
  13. Long run on Monday night

Should be a fun weekend, bu I'm already tired just thinking about it!!

Plans changed from the origanal but that's OK.

Key swim tonight 1500 meters (for me that is a long swim)
5 Mile Run tomorrow morning (recovery, easy)
Bike tomorrow 14 - 20 miles
Sunday off. I will probably get in the pool because I enjoy it so much
Monday 5K Tortoise and Hare 4th of July Race. I am hoping to place in the Clydes division but the fast chicks all have to stay home : )

Forgot to add:

Schlep the 8 year old to camp.
The babies will be sticking close to home but I am sending the 6 year old with his VERY pergnant aunt and uncle to watch fireworks.. Unless.. I become an aunt for the VERY first time. I tell ya what, I am so freaking excited about my sister in laws pregnancy I could pop. All the joy of a new baby to spoil and none of the work. This relative thing is working for me. (She is due on the 13th but she is already starting to go so hopefully it will be soon, she is tired. I am not really sure what to expect from a full term baby ; )

oh, a couple more things for me...

I'll probably bring my bike to MI with me so I can ride some on Sunday.

And I need to visit a flea market on Saturday to find new rip off sunglasses for riding.

Edit......and probably a few Coors Lights thrown in there somewhere
