I think there's an ongoing conspiracy against the west coast in sports. First, the Seahawks were robbed of a Super Bowl victory by the officials, and last night the officials ruined what should have been an easy UW victory against UConn (Thanks to unnecessary technicals and a missed goaltending call). I'm kind of getting sick of watching our teams solidly outplay their opponents and still lose. So people in the east, fess up. Why do you keep bribing the officials?

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Officials are human, make mistakes on both sides of the ball. Winners do what they have to to overcome adversity, losers look for third parties on which to place the blame.

Sour grapes is a really easy accusation to make. It doesn't mean it's always true.

I definitely think something was wrong with the Super Bowl. I'm sure the officialling in the basketball game wasn't intentional, but it did give a victory to the weaker team that night.

Blaming the officials is an even easier out. It's true probably less often. Your teams lost, get over it. Doesn't mean the other coast, the world, the conspiracy is out to get you.

Okay, I'm probably going to regret this . . . but . . . . come on, give me some evidence of intentional wrongdoing in the Super Bowl. Bring it. Seriously, bring it.

And the word you're looking for is officiating. There is no such word as "officialling".

Well, Bill Gates has been robbing us for years, and the Seattle area has been a huge beneficiary of the windfall...tell ya what...I'll get the officials straight, you distribute some Microsoft Money to us po-boys in Detroit.

All kidding aside, y'all got screwed.  Small market conspiracy?

The "Win" over UW last night was pretty questionable...and the Super Bowl, I only saw the 3rd quarter (traveling back to the East from SoCal) and was amazed by the bad officiating (there I said it for him) I saw.  If that'd be happening throughout the game, then no wonder the Seahawks lost.

I'm originally from Snohomish, although I'm at school in Utah for the time being. I agree, no love for Seattle. The Huskies were robbed man! And my grapes aren't sour! Ok, maybe a little, but they should have won.

I'll make sure to use words that actually exist during my next rant. When is the next big sports event?

The billboard was put up by an individual with multiple sources of funding including LSU, Texas, UCLA, and fans of many other schools.  Just because the guy is an LSU fan doesn't make it an LSU thing.

Besides, where exactly would the sour grapes be?  We won what we were supposed to win.

It was mildly amusing for about 10 minutes, but most people grew tired of it quickly.  It is in no way associated with LSU or any other school.
