Subject: Should I change my name???
Okay when I first found this site I was simply looking for a blog that I could put S/B/R on the same day. When I registered I used my standard k23rog that I've been using for 5 years so I could remember it.
Well look at me now, using the blog, posting in the forums, inspiring people (at least using "Inspire Me") and I am disappointed in my choice of names.
So I have two names that are in the running, if I change at all:
FoolInTheRain - the Led Zep song "I will run in the rain till I'm breathless, when I'm breathless I'll run till I drop"
or
Soy Boy - the nickname my roommates gave me years ago because I drank soy milk and ate tofu.

What do y'all think?

well...it is kinda like changing your real name.....you have to be happy with your name and of course folks won;t know who you are initially but will get use to it. I think the one you have now is fine! Sounds good and everyone knows ya! but...as is the 'me generation mantra'..whateve makes you happy!

I vote for foolintherain. Soy boy reminds me of that soy bomb guy that crashed the stage at some award show a few years ago.

Both names are good. But whatever you do, keep the same avatar for a while at least so that folks can "recognize" you.

How about, "Boo Boo Kitty....", nah that one's taken already. I'm not fond of "Soy Boy." I also don't think naming yourself after the city you live in and then your first name is very creative.

I like "fool in the rain." It has meaning. It is also good for motivating yourself. when the weather is less than ideal. Bottom line, it's up to you.

Good luck, "Soy boy in the rain."

I like your current name. It caught my eye in other posts and thought it was unique but it is entirely up to you.

Keep tri-ing,

What does your current name mean?

I do like Foolintherain, but I'm sort of creeped out by your Avatar....What the heck is that?! Name change would require photo change as well....

Alternatively, you could combine the two and be Soyintherain

Or Foolinthesoy.

Hmmmm the options seem endless... !!!! Or you could just keep your original!

"That" is Jack Skellington from Tim Burton's Classic animation feature A Nightmare Before Christmas:

Good call bear. k23rog was the aol screen name that I picked k(Keith) 23(I was 23) rog(Rogers) very unoriginal, but on the other email accounts I've opened since then, that name is never taken so I stuck with it.

And Laura you should go out and rent NMBC as soon as you read this, it's the best animated film of all time!

"Yet year after year, it's the same routine
And I grow so weary of the sound of screams
And I, Jack, the Pumpkin King
Have grown so tired of the same old thing

Oh, somewhere deep inside of these bones
An emptiness began to grow
There's something out there, far from my home
A longing that I've never known

But who here would ever understand
That the Pumpkin King with the skeleton grin
Would tire of his crown, if they only understood
He'd give it all up if he only could

Oh, there's an empty place in my bones
That calls out for something unknown
The fame and praise come year after year
Does nothing for these empty tears"
