Wow - a beautiful sunny spring morning so I did a 40 min easy cycle ride through the lanes around my home. Felt amazing and really enjoyed the ride, and realised that if I hadn't been bitten by the tri bug, I would have missed out on enjoying such a beautiful morning! Hope it's as nice where you are.

40mins - HR zone 3 ~ 18km

Took a short run this AM and plan for a bike in the PM.

Hopefully the clouds will clear and it will not rain.

PS: Today is my Mom's 77th birthday. She and Dad (who is also 77) went to Maine for a little antiquing.

It's pouring down rain here, too. So today's plan -which had been biking and running- is getting switched with tomorrow's plan. It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow. The dilettante trains for a triathlon.....

So, the new plan is:
yoga
step class

I'd like to add in some weight work, but it's a really busy day at work. So, I'm thinking that won't happen.

1600 yards in the pool last night, including 1/2 mile tri distance in one stretch. I may not be getting any faster, but I sure feel alot more comfortable.

Tonight I run. Probably 4.5 miles miles which seems to be becoming my default training distance.

Plan on doing two ride/run bricks this weekend, hopefully the weather cooperates.

Just about a month away from the first tri. Feeling ok, but a little worried about putting it all together.

Bill

Running later.  It's not snowing anymore in Denver, so should be a good one!

Yesterday I was fat, lazy, and overtrained. This am I really wanted to get out of bed and train, but it was freakin 40F outside. I just couldn't do it, and I was so disappointed. Noon today, it's a swim 1000m. Tonight, weights and Pilates. Tomorrow a really long bike ride.

I feel guilty. I haven't worked out in two days. But I know that this is my taper week. So I worked out Monday and Wednesday. Took Tuesday and Thursday off. And might swim a little tonight, just to get the juices flowing. My tri is tomorrow and I'm psyched. Woo Hoo. Wish me luck everyone! Happy training! O.

Okay, today I really am gonna go swim in the pool. I swear ...

I will also attempt a short fast run of about 30 min. That will leave only 25 min for tomorrow!

Rest day today. Off on paintball trip tomorrow so I guess I will have to run extra hard while out there.

One hour on trainer last night (CTS Training - Time Trial Video) Felt very strong, I think I'm improving.

The clock woke me up at 5:15 this morning ready and pump up to my regular 5k, but was (and still) raining like hell here in Puerto Rico.

If still raining, trainer tonight.

This will be a good weekend (if its not raining) Bike/pool tomorrow and sunday 10krun/trainer in the night.

1500 in the pool today. My swimming is starting to improve! This is the second swim session which has NOT required anything other than freestyle! WOO HOO! I'm feeling like I can finally do this.

taking a mini recovery period... before i start running again tomorrow
just started actually running 2 days ago... the frustratingly slow pace was expected considering the servere lack of running in the past 2 years, but still was a little sad when i thought about the 17:30 5k's that i could easilly pump out in high school...

Just hoping that i can get back to that level of fitness sometime in the next year or two...(and with all the help from BT it looks like a pretty reasonable goal)
