Pretty predictable. Here's the link, if you're interested : http://shine.yahoo.com/parenting/gone-pieces-6-newly-sexualized-kid... the highlight was comparing "Great Shape Barbie"--a doll the article says stresses fitness for appearance...
To the more athletic focused "I Can Be a Track Champion" Barbie
So what struck me about this is the ridiculous size of the hurdle of our to-be "track champion". "Hey, Barbie. Why does the hurdle only come half-way up your shin?" I mean the pink vette is sized at a more appropriate scale than the hurdle. Matell = fail! |
