Elite 4547 | Subject: Your favorite college team's star lands on your favorite NFL team! Has this ever happened to any of you out there? Who was that said player? How did it work out for your NFL team? I've got my first: Donovan McNabb (Syracuse) is now a Minnesota Viking! Pinch me, I'm dreaming. 3 more seasons of 25+ td passes will get Donovan to the hallowed 300 td club, and yes, a special place in Canton, OH. What's your story? |

Oh, that had to hurt...wasn't that the draft they took Alex Smith #1 overall? Ugh...Rodgers dropped to something like 24th. btw Ferret, sorry about Crabtree's foot. He's out 4-6 weeks. Go 1-15 and land Luck. |

Vernon Davis has been fun to watch, he's been the best receiving threat for the niners for a couple of years. I always seem to end up with him on my fantasy teams as well....I'm a homer. |

Vince young coming out and texans with first round draft choice..... It SO could have happened. But it didn't. I will be keeping my eye on Philly this year and I have been keeping my eye on the browns and will again this year. Maybe one day though. It sure would be nice.Man! How riveting is this season going to be for you, CD. Have to admit, I'm just a little bit envious. |

Expert 1215 Austin, TX | Subject: RE: Your favorite college team's star lands on your favorite NFL team! I actually had the opposite happen. I grew up in Ohio and am a Browns fan. I went to college at Texas A&M. Now the star QB of my college's biggest rival is the QB for the Browns. I have had people ask if I could still possibly be a Browns fan. I've lived through Art Modell and a decade of Clowns football since their re-birth. If McCoy can perform, I think I can overlook him being a teasip from UT. |

Minnesota was the best possible fit for Donovan. In fact, it would have been the best fit for him the last 2 seasons. While I don't think he would have put up the 33 td and 7 ints Favre did in '09, he would have easily posted at the worst 25 td and 10 ints. The Redskins experiment was horrendous. It was a no-win situation. The proof will be in the pudding...I can't wait for #5 to set the critics straight with a solid 2011. |

I don't know man...Favre's 2009 season guaranteed him the starting role if he wanted it in 2010, and eventually Brett wanted it, and got it. I really believe if Donovan has the season he's capable of having...playoffs, 2:1 td:int ratio...he'd be the starter in 2012 as well. If things go down similar to what happened in Washington last year, buckle up Christian, it's your team in 2012! |

Sidney Rice has vacated, can't even tell from game to game if Percy Harvin will even play, looks like Berian and Shiancoe are his most viable targets. He'll spend a lot more downs handing off to All Day than looking to pass. |

Master 1795 Boynton Beach, FL | Subject: RE: Your favorite college team's star lands on your favorite NFL team! Dolphins have had a fair share of players from the U... Some became decent, but not many. So many years I would watch the talent get picked out of south florida and go elsewhere. Jimmy Johnson came home for a few seasons to coach, but they never were able to sell the staying home part very well with star players. |

Champion 11989 Philly 'burbs | Subject: RE: Your favorite college team's star lands on your favorite NFL team! For the life on me I do not get the McNabb love. I'm not an Eagles fan, but I live here and as a sports fan can't help but be exposed to all things Philly sports. He has put up some decent numbers but does not have that thing, that "it" factor, which is needed to be a truly great NFL QB. Andy Reid got as much as he could out of the him and knew enough to let him go, in the division no less. The guy can't let go of a few knuckleheads booing the pick of a QB when he was drafted. They didn't boo him personally, they booed any pick that was not Ricky Williams. Get over it already. He whines and mopes, and throws passes in the dirt, he comes up really short in big games with everything on the line. TO played the Super Bowl on a broken leg, but McNabb tossed his cookies and failed to run a 2 minute offense. I was rooting against the Eagles in that game and even I was shocked that they didn't run the hurry up. I've seen enough of McNabb to know he will never win a Super Bowl, and I think his numbers will just decline. Canton? I think not. As a Redskins fan I was even more disgusted than usual when they traded for him and am glad he's gone. Enjoy watching footballs bounce off the Metrodome turf. Is there an over under yet on how many games he misses? |

He'll spend a lot more downs handing off to All Day than looking to pass. Percy Harvin is an all-pro calibre wr when he's healthy. Yes, Bernard Berrian's been a bust since arriving in Minnesota, but we did just pick up Devon Aromashodu from the Bears. At the end of '09 he caught 4 td's in the last 4 games and went for 150 yards in one of those games. In '10, he landed himself in Mike Martz's doghouse. Apparently, he didn't like being a slot receiver. Harvin, Michael Jenkins, Berrian and Aromashodu...paired with Shiancoe /Rudolph at te, yes, I think the Vikes still need one more quality target...I'd give anything to have Randy come out of retirement for a 3rd stint with my Vikes. btw, the o-line? We just nabbed the Indianapolis Colts Left Tackle Charlie Johnson. He's competition for McKinnie and could also be plugged in anywhere on the line. It's no guarantee, but I for one am looking forward to this season. (btw mrbbrad, I'll give you the over/under as 12.5) |

They've been doing a really good job of going on a winning streak after they get eliminated to secure that critical #8 draft slot. |

I can always dream. One day, one day the Lions will be a winner. |
