I'm mainly wanting to know how much swim bike and run sessions you do each week but then also weight/gym sessions if you do them also.

I aim for three x each discipline - it's winter here and the off season so at the moment I am building base for running/cycling and deconstructing and rebuilding my swimming with a coach.  Saturday morning, my tri club does bricks so I count that as 1 cycle and 1 run.  I do 2 pilates classes a week, 1 on reformers and 1 on mats - I had a trochonteric bursitis and my PT recommended pilates and I really like it.  I do a dance class one a week just cos I really love it and we'll do a family cycle or rock climbing at the weekend.  On a good week, I'll get everything in but life often gets in the way and then that's my recovery week.  I'd like to do some weight sessions but I just don't have any time.  Ooh, forgot, have just started playing touch rugby again after lay off cos of the bursitis.  It's great to do something as part of a team, my husband plays and our little boy goes bonkers cheering us on.  Hope that helps Smile

In winter I usually do 4Xrun, 1X mountain bike, 1X spin or ride and 2X swim.
In summer, 3-4X run, 3X swim, and 2X ride.
So, 8 or 9.
But I also have one bad week every six weeks or so (for work or life or tapering/resting) so the long term average this year has worked in at about 6 in winter and 7 in summer.
I think this is enough for a recreational (MOP) Olympic, but I feel I need to step it up for 70.3.

Usually 3X3, but I've been known to slip in an extra run here or there.  In the off season I will add in 2-3 strength training sessions a week.

around 12 +/- break down as:

I am swimming every other day (3-4x week) as I am recoverying from shoulder injury

I bike 3-4 x week (1 threshold, 1 long, 1 tempo, 1 steady)

I run 5-6x week, (2 easy, 1 long/or tempo, 1 threshold, 1 steady)

I hit the gym or road 6x per week.
I count anytime I work out as a session whether I am doing one, two, or all three.

Oops- I didn't properly read the question.  I work out 5-6d/wk but usu do multiple sports.  So prob 10-12/wk.

Ideally I will get:

I might eventually bump the runs up to an average of 3.5 (alternating days so 4 one week and 3 the next).

My goal is 4 runs, 3 bikes, 3 swims, 2 ST.  I don't always get the bikes in though as work can really mess me up at times, as does the odd mountain climb/rock climbing trip.  But I am fairly regular on the others.  Come winter I will probably ignore the bike, although I keep saying I am going to figure out how to use my rollers some dayEmbarassed  Sounds like a perfect winter activity.

During tri season I shoot for 11, though it often doesn't happen.  Ideally I do:

Swim - 3x
Bike - 4x (includes 2-3 commutes)
Run - 4x

One of the workouts might end up being a bike/run brick for the sake of time management, not because I believe in doing bricks...

If I have to miss a workout I let go of swimming first since it's my strongest.

I try to do:

3 swims (1 speed work in the pool, 1 long sets ows like 4 x 400, 1 long continuous ows)
3 rides (1 long, 1 tempo, 1 recovery)
3 runs (1 long, 1 medium, 1 recovery)

I would like to add some stretching and core work but that has eluded me.

Wow! A lot of training going on here I just got into the sport and am training as follows:3 Run2 Bike2 SwimSo 7 sessions.Usually 4-5 weight sessions as that's my background.Although after looking at what everyone else is doing I'm thinking that I should be doing a bit more???

on weeks not close to races

5-6 runs as 2 easy, 1 steady, 1 long, 1 tempo (is another threshold or hills)
5 rides, 1 easy, 2 tempo, 1 longer, 1 threshold
5-6 swims.

with races coming up more like 4 rides, 5 runs, and 2-3 swims (this is more due to the fact i dont have a pool at hte moment)

Wow! I'm impressed. I obviously need more sleep and downtime than most of the previous posters, so I usually swim 2x per week, ride 3x per week, run 3-4x per week (and 1 or 2 of those may be bricks). I throw in some short yoga or strength sessions 2-3x per week as well (but they are very short...like 15 minutes).

Sat- Long ride
Sun- Long run
Mon- Swim and run
Tues- Ride
Wed- Swim and run
Thurs- Ride and run
Fri- OFF!!!!

I think the distance someone is training for should be taken into consideration when discussing how many sessions per week though.

I usually aim for 6:

2 x swim
3-4 x run
usually only 1 bike, at most.

I really need to increase my bike time, but I get off work at 1:30am and train then... I guess I'm just nervous about night-time drivers/visibility.

Well it also depends on the person and how much training they want to do for the distance they are doing.

I'm sure there are lots of people who do 12 sessions a week for sprint tri training.

I guess the distance/time should be considered as well.

I'll just say that if I weren't training for a HIM, I would probably do less distance on all 3 disciplines, but yes, I would probably still do 9 sessions a week.
