All week DjDavey has been spreading the rumor that I'm buying Rocky's for every one participating, volunteering and watching the Dousman Du.  Not exactly true. Here's what I am willing to do for Dave. If I DO NOT PR the race, I will buy Dave a nice big slice of Rocky's. If I PR he has to buy me one. Time to beat? 1:35:01, from 2007.  This will not be an easy feat as it will require me to PR run and bike splits for ANY race I have ever done. For Rocky's though, I think it might be Du-able. What do you think?

^^^^ what she said!

Go get it!

If by chance you don't feel up to finishing your slice, I'll take it. Seems I'm a bit hungrier than normal lately....

Just keep singing "Marathon" from Rush - it'll inspire you to push for the PR.

After much thinking i would like to add a little side deal with mr. webs.  IF i do not attain the lofty goal that i am thinking of (webs, check your messages) then i shall pack up mr. webs transition gear and sherpa everything for him back to his vehicle.  best i have, sorry.

Adding to the bets - I have promised one Mr. DjDavey a smiley face cookie should he win his age group.  I will be picking up said cookie BEFORE the race because I don't want to hear the whining afterwards should I not have it in hand the minute he crosses the finish line.

Can someone please make a bet wtih an apple or a piece of asparagus or something??

So, then if he doesn't win, are you just going to eat the cookie in front of him?

Absolutely.  I will probably combine it with taunting, gleeful dancing as well.

Even if he does hit his goal and you do have the cookie, he'll tell you that you failed.  I remember running to Walgreens some time ago to get him not 5 but 8 cookies to help lighten his mood, but was told I failed

So Dave gets his pizza. Fell just short of my goal. How it happened is all in my race report.
