Well, I will be doing most of the ride between 16 and 18 mph, but I'm supposed to do 3x12 minutes in Zone 3, which would definitely be above 18 mph on flat ground. I have NO idea what that will be in Cartersville!! LOL... You are welcome to ride with me if you want. I'll have my Angry Red Hill Slug shirt on.
Annika and I are in. I hook her tag along bike to my old road bike. The only problem is the tag along weighs about 30 lbs. The upside is she always helps pedal on the downhills...

I think I am in. Maybe I can keep up with you if you are pulling an extra 60 lbs.
I'm thinking about doing the 65 mile option as well.
How far to the Bud plant from Alpharetta?
It's about 1:10 from Roswell Park area- I'm being conservative.
Here's the address if oyu want exact miles/time: 100 Busch Dr NE Cartersville, GA30121
Thanks, Courtney. Yeah, I did the Google Maps thing, but est. drive time from those things is always a best-guesstimate. Figured some of the regulars would be able to offer more realistic feedback.

Lou,
I typically plan for 1:20 from my house going out there since it's early in the AM. Coming back due to traffic, it's more like 2:00.
I'd offer to car pool but I'm doing 100 plus a 6 mile trun.

Thanks, Jonathan. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do, so no worries on the car pool. From the sounds of it, even if I did the 65 mile option it's going to be pretty much a full day, and the 28th is already spoken for with Six Gaps. Definitely going to be a last-minute decision; we'll see how Beth's feeling tomorrow... Thanks again (and keep up the good Kona training!)
CourtneyM - 2008-09-19 5:21 PM For anyone that is interested, some of us are meeting before the ride starts so we can all at least start together.
Meet at 7:40-7:45 at the yellow cement post/ the entrance of the right side parking lot once you're on the Bud Plant property.
Looks like I'll be riding local tomorrow due to some noon-ish "real life" stuff (daughter singing at Roswell Arts Festival) that I forgot was on the agenda...have fun, be safe out there. Look forward to seeing the Six Gaps folks next Sunday...
