Woohoo.... 'Skins win, Cowboys lose (though they played really well), Eagles lose, and best of all...... Patriots lose ! Why did the Aints have to be off today.

Just havin fun with it a little... don't take this too seriously....... unless you're a Pat or an Aint. The Redskins are the kings of mediocrity so I have to enjoy it when I can.

Edit: LOL... oops... Redskins havent won yet.... premature ecelebration.

Who would have though Russell Wilson would outduel Brady. Seahawks now have wins over NE/Dal/GB/Car and 2 intra-divison losses. Also tied for first in the best division in football.

I watched Wilson play for NC State here on the east side..... he was a stud.

The Seahawks will probably go 7-1 at home but could just as easily go 3-5 on the road. Their home field advantage is insane. They won't be a serious contender until they can consistently win on the road though. I think they have a good shot at a wildcard berth though.

The 49ers, on the other hand, are doing their best Cowboys impression. Look like world beaters one week then never get out of the locker room the next. I still see them winning the division and quite possibly locking up a bye, but performances like this are scary come playoff time when you dont get second chances.

By the way... stay classy Seattle:

Reportedly this was by Brady's invitation, for Sherman to "see him after the game," after the (near-certain) Patriot win.

Cool

Pretty funny if you are not a Pats fan. That's the problem with saying "see me after the game!"

Why is Matt Dampn showing anything to Clay Matthews?
Well, I am glad to hear that Sherman is an educated jack. I already don't like Brady and Sherman has now joined that list.

Found it... just happened. Great work Andy, fire the O line coach that you made the D coordinator. Never mind your offense is 2nd to last in points scored.

Who would have thought making an O-Line coordinator a Defensive Coordinator wouldn't turn out so well? Wacky.

I don't know if that's such a good knock.  I mean afterall, some of the best defensive minds have great offenses (Buddy Ryan at the Oilers) and some of the best offensive minds build outstanding defenses (Brian Billick).  If you're a O-Linemen, you know more about the Devensive front-8 schemes than most D-Coordinators probably do because you see a different one every week.

Andy Reid probably looked at his coaches and picked one to be the sacrificial lamb who will be picked-up tomorrow.  University of Texas needs a new Defense and a New Offense.

The coaching trees are very intertwined.

Buddy Ryan didn't coach his offense, nor Brian Billick his defense. They had extremely good coordinators and allowed them the freedom to do their jobs without meddling.

An O-Line coordinator may know line play but that doesn't mean they have an solid overall concept for a defensive scheme or a good grasp on secondary schemes, which has been a consistent problem for the Eagles despite having big talent in the defensive backfield.

Castillo was a disaster for this defense from the get-go.

I baited you a bit with Buddy Ryan so I could show this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPK3cDl7Ftw HAHAHAHA!!

Point taken on the Defensive Backs.  I played O-Line and Linebacker in High School.  I can tell you every technique and responsibility on the offense and defense...except for Defensive Backs. I have no idea what they do back there.

Your point is accurate.  An O-Line Coach should not be a D-Coordinator unless he has a stellar DB coach to call the plays for the DBs.

That's they guy they promoted to D coordinator. Not sure if he's stellar, but he was the DB coach and is now the D coordinator. Wonder if he'll stick with the "Wide 9"...

For those unfamiliar with the wackiness that is Eagles football, they hired a strong willed D Line coach before they hired the D coordinator. Castillo had no say and no choice but to use a D line philosophy (Wide 9) that wasn't his idea. Maybe he loved it, maybe he hated it, but he was stuck with it. I love it when the Eagles self destruct. I've lived here for over 25 years and this team has never won me over, even while Daniel Snyder was slowly killing my beloved Redskins.

Always a classic. The dude was UP 14 - 0 and physically assaulting his OC.

Apparently, Ryan didn't realize Gilbride was just trying to help get his beloved D back on the field so they could score more points.
