During sign-ups, some people wanted to enter more than one goal this month. Therefore..... You may now have UP TO THREE GOALS for November! You may have one goal, or two, or three. It's up to you. On your team spreadsheet, I've set up an "Example" for you to follow. (This example will not count in your team's totals!) Here is your Team Spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0An7ZkKfHG1L1dGRQbDF5aC13ZVJ... To log on to the spreadsheet, use the following information: Username: [email protected] Password: challengeforum *** If you're already logged onto Google using your own account, you'll need to log out, then log in again with the above information. *** Each team needs to do the following: 1) Pick a team name. 2) Select a team captain. Team captain responsibilities: 1) Remind people when it's time to update the team spreadsheet. (This is the information that I'll use to determine the team standings.) 2) Let me know if there's a problem. (For example, a team member hasn't reported in for two weeks, etc.) When you have selected a team name, let me know and I'll change your thread name. Dee Edited by D001 2009-11-02 10:38 AM |

Expert 1773 San Gabriel Valley, California | Subject: RE: Team 2 - November You-Pick-It Challenge Hi fellow teammates - I don't have a suggestion for team name - YET. However, I just want to say up front that my team didn't win in October (OK, the month isn't over yet, but it seems pretty clear we aren't going to win) and I have EVERY intention of winning. So, let's start out strong and WIN. |

I'm sure I'll be working out while away but still unsure how to set up my month. I am a challenge addict and have gone 100% or more since I started doing them in June. How does this work? Ann-Marie Well, you set a goal. During the month, you work towards achieving that goal. You encourage your teammates to meet their goals. Your teammates encourage you to meet your goal. And at the end of the month, the team who has the highest percentage towards their goals "wins." |

However this is my third month of challenges. Really helps with keeping up with the workouts! I will post my goals tomorrow. I am pretty new too. Did my first two tris this summer. Now with no race on the books it is hard to stick to training. This challenge ought to do the trick and motivate me to get my lazy self out there and run! Oh...btw...my goal is to run 3x each week. Two short runs (2-3 miles) and one "long" run (3-5miles). What is everyone else's goal? Edited by akrenik 2009-10-31 12:40 AM |

Master 1322 Chicago | Subject: RE: Team 2 - November You-Pick-It Challenge Hi all! I'll post my goal tomorrow after my 15k. I sorta wanted to make it to do all of Jorge's trainer sessions, but I'm going to be out of town Thanksgiving week. So I'm considering just making it an every other day run thing like last months challenge. I have more resistance to getting on the trainer though cause it hurts my butt so maybe I should stick with the trainer thing to really make the best use of the challenge, and then make those trainer days I'm out of town into runs. Happy Halloween everyone!! |

My Pick will be 7 trainer rides plus 10 run sessions. I'll keep track in my log and just mark off the total to 17 in the google doc. |

Lots of people I don't know on this team. Looking forward to getting to know you! Since it's November, do we need a campy Thanksgiving-themed name, like the Turkey Trotters or something? I have struggled thru training very inconsistently over the past 3yrs now since I became interested in Tri'ing. I have entered a couple of challenges but have not helped my teams achieve their goals - planning on doing better with that this go around- I have 19 days until my 43rd b-day and am disappointed with where I am with my health and training. I am searching for that motivation / addiction that changes that for me.... |

Expert 1773 San Gabriel Valley, California | Subject: RE: Team 2 - November You-Pick-It Challenge I've got my goal for November, which is to get in 40 sessions of swim/bike/run. This is exactly what my training program calls for and does take into account Thanksgiving. So, I should have no excuse for not making goal. Besides, I am training for a HIM in March and can't really afford to be skipping any workouts. I already have my run for today in and am looking at a trainer ride (ugh) tonight. Does anyone know how to make those cute little thingies with everyone's user name and link to their blog? I don't know how to make them, but find them to be very useful. |

Master 1397 Granvile, Ohio | Subject: RE: Team 2 - November You-Pick-It Challenge Hi everyone! I have a simple goal. Establish some consistency on my bike. Get two sessions in each week. This is actually a swim focus month for me, but since I know I'm going to be in the water, I want to challenge myself to get some T.I.T.S. in as well. Since we have the option to add more, I'm also going to add three strength sessions per week. One of those will most likely be core only, but it sure will be nice to get some consistency with the weights as well. Goals: 8 bike sessions 12 strength sessions while maintaining my swim and run workouts. Easy, right? LOL! Good luck team!!! |

Expert 1112 I'm a Tennessee girl living in SoCal. | Subject: RE: Team 2 - November You-Pick-It Challenge Hi everyone, just checking in for the new challenge. I need to finalize exactly what my goal will be for the month still. I am coming off a torn meniscus injury from a few months back that I reinjured at one point along the way before it was even completely healed. So, my ortho has kept me limited to no running up until now. I finally have to go ahead to start slowly incorporating some wogging in again. So, I'm currently starting week 5 in the conservative couch-to-5k plan here. I was in the October challenge and set a goal for 30 miles of walking. I ended up getting in 31 miles for the month. I think my goal for November will be 33 miles of walking/wogging. I just need to decide if I want to add in a secondary goal as well. Tammy - Congrats on the blow-out win yesterday! I have 3 friends who are all Buckeyes, one of whom actually works for the University. |

Extreme Veteran 532 Northampton, UK | Subject: RE: Team 2 - November You-Pick-It Challenge Time for a proper Hi from me. Since I'm still very new to all this and my first Tri is in April, I'm currently working on my weakest discipline - running. Therefore I've put down 13 running sessions (which is the exact amount my plan calls for and will make sure I don't miss any) and 12 strength sessions. Completed my first run today even though it was raining as I didn't want to let the team down on the very first day! |
