Thanks. I spoke about this in another forum. I don't like the one-piecers because: 1) they make fixing the family jewels when jolted out of place, much more difficult vs tri shorts due to 0% accessibility 2) they are a pain to get on and off if you gotta pit stop....something I do because i always would rather err on the side of overhydrating than underhydrating as the consequences are much less dire 3) body marking will rub off on the top part of the one piece and you'll have black streaks on your suit just after 1 time wearing but if you don't mind the above 3 reason for using a tri one-piecer rather than shorts and a tri top, the zoot suit is VERY comfortable. |

Member 184 Chicago, IL | Subject: RE: One piece tri suit I signed up for St.Anthony's. You know you are in Chicago too, untill Aprill 22nd I may not have a chance to do an actual water practice in the lake with wetsuit. Also Florida water is warm, I was thinking one piece would eliminate the necessity for wetsuit and made transition easier. I saw Sugoi Wireless Tri suit. Looked reasonable but hmmm. not reaching and not being to adjust might be a problem. Never thought about that one. Have the same problem in my bib tights. |

Like if you ever get out of the saddle to hammer up a hill or something, jewels get jostled and you gotta fix 'em... Anyway, if you're gonna swim w/o a wet suit you don't need a one-piecer man! You can totally swim in a tri tank and zoot tri shorts (or desoto tri short). tri tanks are skin tight and don't have any drag. i did 2 tris with no wetsuit and wore a tri top and tri tank and didn't have to change clothes the whole race....super comfy! I just bought team USA's closout tri tank on their website for like $18.00 or something crazy cheap. it came in the mail today and man it freggin fits GREAT! It's red, which Joanna says is a "girl" color, but who cares for $18.00 right? I mean it's not pink...at least not now before i was hit...ha ha ha. anyway, i would caution you about spending $90 on a suit man because i'm pretty pissed i did because not only is it not comfortable due to the lack of adjustment ability but you get black marker on it and it ruins it. dumb huh? Just a prefrence I guess. doesn't your body marking rub off on your suit when you take off your top to go to the bathroom? what about the family jewels jostling around? how to you fix em while riding? |

Champion 4902 Ottawa, Ontario | Subject: One piece tri suit Hey, I never thought of the "adjustment" problem of a one-piece tri suit. That really is a big problem. I was deliberating over whether to buy a one-piece for next season and now I now that I will stay with my tri shorts and cycling top. |

Master 1558 Pensacola, Fl | Subject: RE: One piece tri suit I didn't have any problems with placement or adjustment while wearing a tri-siut. I really like my Cervelo tri-suit and actually have asked for a few more for Christmas. Granted, I have only done a sprint tri in mine, maybe for longer rides/tri's there will be a need for readjustment. |

Master 1670 Harvard, Illinois | Subject: RE: One piece tri suit I wore a Tyr tri suit this past year. The only problem I had was trying to use a bathroom with it before the race knowing that there is a line of 200 people waiting on me. I had no issues with the comfort of the suit. Mike |

I heard that it is quite thick but still nice and cool. Mine is the NAVY one...suprised? No problems with the thickness of the suit. Didn't really think of it as thick, but then again it was my first and only one that I have. Nothing to compare it to. I like it. |

Elite 3498 Chicago | Subject: RE: One piece tri suit B-One - 2004-12-06 2:04 PM Doesn't everyone just pee in the water on the swim segment anyway? Yeah, but the swim is usually one of the shorter legs of the race AND the water washes it away.... I've never pee on my bike (although I hear it's a popular thing to do) because I never tried it during trng so I don't know how much chafing would go on in a 5 hour race. Hence, I gotta unzip and remove the 1 piecer prior to going in the trees/bushes. |

Member 81 Blenheim, Ontario | Subject: RE: One piece tri suit I have a sugoi tri suit that my old tri team ordered and I loved it.. it was comfy and the zipper went to about your belly button so you could still move the jewls around and the topr was extremely stretchy but soo skin tight to.. also before the race put it on but dont put the top on just let it hang at your waist then just before the race put the top on it saves on alot of on and off work everytime you have to go to the washroom Colin |

Master 2447 Marietta, Ga | Subject: RE: One piece tri suit I race in the Orca one piece suit, its very comfortable and the fibers are coated with silicone to shed water from the outside, but allow sweat to get through from the inside. No disrespect meant to the previous posters, but with regard to the aforementioned issues with one pieces, read on:
Additionally, it eliminates the need for a shirt (required in most triathlons) which you will need to put on after the swim if you're not already wearing one (time savings in T1). |

Just hoping it catches on with the females. I learned this as I struggled with my shirt for nearly a minute in my first tri. |

So when you zipp off and remove your top, it doesn't rub against your arms and rub off some body marking ink onto your suit? Must be thost coated fibers maybe... I was so pissed when I saw that my $90 zoot suit was ruined because it had black streaks of when I removed the top. |

The beer bracket (ie loser's bracket) seems to often be drunk and naked. Of course, these are coed events, so you'll have to deal with seeing some, as Steve puts it, jewels in order to see the nudie girls. |
