Subject: PSA: Bib shorts/tribibsSince I started cycling, I always heard and read from the fast/skinny folks that bibs were the bomb. I, however, put off buying any for a variety of reasons: I'm not fast/skinny, too expensive, don't ride far enough, too poseur, blah blah. Well, in preparation for my last race, I went out and bought a pair of tribibs (DeSoto Forza Riviera Tribibs). They are exactly what people claim: extremely comfortable, don't cut across your waist when on the bike, keep your lower back out of the sun and so on. I now have a hard time riding at all wearing shorts, rather than bibs. They also felt great on the swim and run. Here's the PSA part you don't hear from the fast/skinny people, if you're a guy or gal that isn't quite yet at your "optimal race weight," these things are a freakin' girdle. A girdle! Your race and post-race pictures will never look better. Go forth and enjoy. Edited by Goosedog 2011-10-27 8:21 AM
