Subject: RE: Ankle injury 10 days out of HM I've rolled my ankle a kajillion times - it always behaved a little differently in recovery. RICE and Advil for 72 hours - then re-assess. At least in a HM you're not cutting like you would in soccer/basketball/volleyball). An ankle lace-up brace always helped me, but I'm not sure I'd want to run 13+ miles in that thing. 8 days out might be just enough. Don't sweat the training, the hay's in the barn and nothing you do is going to improve your fitness. You just want to have it go down as little as possible while you shed the fatigue, so see where you are on Monday and hopefully you can resume doing something at that point and get running again Tues/Wed. |
