Pro  3906     Libertyville, IL |  Subject: Official thread: New Berlin National Dash 5khttp://www.newberlinjuniors.org/ Lara13 has been heading up the National Dash on July 4th and this is their 3rd year. The race takes place before the looooong parade new berlin has, so its kinda fun to have the parade crowd cheering you on. Race or if you are a Donkey and cant race, i think they are still looking for volunteers. If folks want to, I would be game for some post race parade watching with the lil Donks and/or maybe some kind of barbecue or something. I know folks have tons going on, but this gives ya enough time to get a race in and enjoy the rest of the 4th too. |

I had no idea this had some executive donk-ness. She's having trouble with sideaches while running, so seemed to be on the fence the last we talked. I'll bring it up again and see what's what. |

BUT I have one fairly large complaint. Why the he11 don't they have awards for the under 10 AG? They just lumped those kids in to the under 18 AG..... Yha that really encourages young kids to become involved. Of course my question comes after having to explain to my 8 y/o why he didn't get a medal even though he was faster than the other under 10'ers. Frankly, unless they make some changes, none of us will be involved in the National Dash next year. |
