How many of ya'll have to change into "lounging" clothes when you get home from work?  I personally can't stand being at home wearing work clothes, even if it's jeans, dress pants, button down shirts etc.  I JUST  HAVE TO change into a t-shirt, lounging pants, and throw my hair up.  Anyone else??

I find clothes restrictive. BTW- this thread is right up there with 3558's Vin Diesel thread.

Don't even compare this with 3558's threads!!  His are way more lame!!  And...this was a hot topic on my other popular thread "Strange Habits."  Courtney and I were discussing and I thought it would make a good thread.  Just wait- it's warming up.  Do you really think that I can post a thread about changing clothes and not have someone turn it into something worse??

First activity upon entering the house.  Sweats, comfy top and some big fluffy socks.  Gotta be cozy! But that's just winter.  In summer it's as little as possible, since we don't run the air conditioning.  My husband protested until he realized the fringe benefit!

I wear a suit and tie four days of the week. I'm semi-naked by the time I get to the car.

Because of my profession as a firefigher/paramedic it is a must to change ASAP. I always wash my work clothes seperate and leave my work boots on the porch. No need to track germs, blood, barf etc. through the house.

The less clothes the better.  My parents used to get so mad at me for leaving the blinds open. I can hear her now "SHUT YOUR BLINDS!!!" Now I'm just a camisole/t-shirt and boxers kinda girl since I have to.

I wore a suit and tie when I was working!  During the cycling season, I changed into my cycling outfit, took a shower when I got home and changed in my "home" clothes.  In the winter months, I got home, took off my suit and tie, showered, and changed in my "home" clothes.  I was not comfortable at work unless I wore a tie but at home, I do not feel comfortable WITH a tie!!!

You mean people actually go directly from work to home?

This week
Monday: walking and scouts (child #2-4) home @8:30
Tuesday: school concert (child #2) home@9:15
Wednesday: 2 meetings (7 & 9 PM) home@??:??
Thursday: school dinner (child #3 & #4) home@9:??
Friday: 200 mile round trip to pick up child #1 for weekend commitments

On those few occasions where I'm home with several hours before bedtime, I usually change into shorts/sweats/loungepants and a T-shirt.

I've have been lately since tri season is over.  But not tonight- I have a TNT clinic after work. So when I get home I'm getting into my jammy's and getting to bed.

And that is preceisely why I don't change into "lounge" clothes (hubby doesn't think its very attractive), but I do change when I get home from work if I didn't wear jeans there already. Sunday mornings however, were made for PJ pants and my oversized college sweatshirt.

If only my wife cared whether I thought it was attractive or not. Sigh...

I'll tell ya what he did- one week when I feeling particularly lazy, I was putting on those lounge clothes all the time. He made a few comments like "hey ready for bed are ya?" (at 7 pm when I'm obviously not). Also "gee, another night of flannel pants?" Stuff like that.  I took the hint-even aksed him about it. Somehow, he found a nice way to say, "sometimes, its OK, every night, not so OK" without it being a big deal.  Now that I stay dressed longer, I actually have a much more productive evening and can stay awake to enjoy my evenings with that hubby of mine.

I do all of that except the "throw hair up" bit. Somehow, along the way, my hair sorta got "thrown out" if you catch my drift.
