Subject: Asexuality

I saw on a show last night about asexuals and that it's becoming more common.  This is actually the 2nd time I've heard of this.  I watched a talk show (can't remember which one) with a guy who talked about asexuality.  Asexuals date, and even marry the opposite sex but don't really engage in physical activity with each other.  If they do it's minimal- some don't even kiss open mouth.  They are straight up not sexually attracted to ANYONE.

Has anyone else heard of this?  Enlighten me.

Runnergirl this happened to me once in 1975...I was in a coma on a ventilator. Then I woke up and grabbed the nurse.
No seriously, I believe it was Michael Cooper of the LA Lakers who, years ago lived this lifestyle. I'll have to verify that but I believe it was him.  You know I think I also read that the Kellogg matriarch lived this lifestyle. I think he limited himself to once or twice a year.  Different strokes for different folks.

I don't know anything about it, but I'd say it's not "becoming more common." Attractedness is an inate biological response, so unless some weird anti-procreative evolutionary forces are at work, it's the same as it ever was.

Worms reproduce sexually. Not sure if they kiss with their mouths open or not, though.

I read about a guy that was like that, asexual and all. But last thing I heard about him was he went blind.

Earthworms are hermaphodites, but still reproduce sexually.

Wow so sexual in latin means sexual....

So you are saying that asexuals just have sex with themselves. Like a worm...

Take the monorail to see the doctor.  No issues.  And just remember...the "J" is silent, like the "P" in swimming.

Lots of people are asexual. They don't necessarily choose not to have sex, rather, for whatever reason don't have the opportunity and are disinclined to pay for such services.

Also, I know a few people who seem to not date more out of choice than lack of opportunity.

Like so many things, it might seem like a growing phenomenon, but I would suggest it's like so many other things, the media gets ahold of it and shines a light on it and we all think it's widespread (unlike.... oh, forget it), EDIT: or growing (unlike... nah).

You must remain asexual while on the monorail. Disney policy.

You must remain asexual while on the monorail. Disney policy.

Unless it's your birthday...then you get to have the front car in the monorail, and as they say in Risky Business - Disney policy or not - you gotta go for love on a real train.
