I can't stand Rivers beating us... yes I said "us".

He has done it plenty. Chargers come out swinging and once they have a lead it is game over...

Not tonight with Manning, Fox, Del Rio, and a new team. I could only see the game on line first half. I got home just in time for the fun half!!! What a game for a winning team fan.

Peyton is as Peyton does. 

Rivers is as Rivers does. 

Chargers begin rebuilding as Chargers do. 

That is all.

Makes me sad that we stopped watching at half time, but the highlights were awesome!

As A lifelong Chargers Fan, I was pleased to see the result because I think that losses like this are the only way we'll ever be rid of Norv and AJ.  Never has an NFL coach done so little with so much talent. 

The Defense started-out playing very impressively, but you blow leads because of poor coaching.

I still say "is there another Harbaugh available?"

I cannot stand Phillip Rivers.

This one always made me laugh:

They should've just kept Manning and forced him to miss a year. Then they probably would have kept Brees and would be much better off.

They had an excuse to let go of Brees because he tore his shoulder diving for a fumble in the playoffs.  But they were already going for Rivers at that point. 

That's why Marty and AJ got into it and Marty walked after a 14-2 season and a kneel-down away from the NFC championship (but the idiot defensive player fumbled the ball back to the Patriots and they kicked an FG to win the game).

Since that season, they've gone downhill ever since.

Rivers has always been a very good NFL QB with MVP-type numbers, but he needs a coach to put him in his place because he's such a headcase.

I meant if they had forced Manning to stay in SD, he said he wouldn't play for them (which is why I still think he's a douche). If we take him at his word he would have held out and gone back into the next draft. Then they wouldn't have a real alternative to Brees and they would have kept him IMO.

You must have me mistaken for someone else. I don't care about Elway at all. In fact I've only recently gotten over my Bronco's hate from the old days of the Seahawks being in the AFC west.

I can understand not wanting to go to Indianapolis, but not wanting to go to San Diego when you're making mucho milliones de dolares makes me question someone's sanity.

At the time I thought he was a douche but looking on his career now I think it was one of the best moves in football. He took control of his business career and made it a successful one. If any of us did that in our careers would people call that selfish or smart?

I don't think you can compare it to regular persons jobs. He entered into an agreement that he would put his name into the draft and get picked. Do you think Andrew Luck wanted to go to Indy? Maybe he might have preferred to go to SF and reunite with Harbaugh and a much better team. He will always be a douche to me, even with his Superbowls.

I like both Manning QBs, (well, all three) and I was bothered on some level by their draft saga. I don't know why anyone would not want to get paid millions of dollars to live in San Diego. Maybe their dad regretted wasting away in NO, and wanted his sons to have more control over where they went.

It was a business move pure and simple. Since we just watch we are fans but that is their life and job so when they can take control of their own future I think its fine. With everything he has done with NY I think he did the right thing.

While I agree I wouldn't want to end up with Norv Turner as my coach, he was staring at a huge $54 million contract. Not exactly having to work his way up the ladder or anything.

That begs the question.  Do you think he would've won 2 Super Bowls with the Chargers? Or would Phillip have won two rings with the Giants?

IMO... Rivers would have had a better chance at a SB in NY than Eli in SD, but because of the coaching and the make up of the organizations. No way Marty or Norv win a SB no matter who's the QB. The big 'if" is if Coughlin would have been able to reign in Rivers. That may have been disaster from the start.
That said, I think Eli is a better QB.
