I don't know if that is an actual event distance or if they took my idea of just putting a random number on an oval sticker.

Hey, that happened to me! When they cancelled the 2010 Myrtle Beach Marathon for snow (yes, that really happened in Myrtle Beach), I went ahead and ran the course anyway - I wanted my marathon. Anyway, running from memory on an unmarked course, I took a wrong turn and ended up on the shoulder of U.S. 17 Bypass (a 6-lane 55 mph highway). Ended up running 26.7 - my only ultramarathon.
