As far as training goes, ride lots! The bike course has a few hills but overall is a great, scenic course. I don't know where you are from but as long as you can find some hills to ride you'll be fine. The run course has some good hills on it and you can almost count on it being hot and humid out there so hydration is key. The volunteers are awesome and aid stations have water, heed, enduralytes, and a variety of other treats. The residents are all over the course with hoses, showers, extra water stations and are an excellent boost out there. Definitely train some hills for the run. The swim is flat! Hope this helps.
