Lance Armstrong!
What are we to think here of Lance?
Are we to lift up Tyler Hamilton, Floyd Landis , Levi Leiphiemer, George Hincappi, and all the other Pelaton who have admitted to doping to crucify Lance.
Are we to say "ok you all lied and cheated , but since you will help to crucify your Lance we will forgive you, not only forgive you but raise you up?

We will forgive you because you didn't win like lance?
...
Should we crucify USADE, WADA, UCI, FOR NOT doing there job in the first place?

Let's crucify the man who has done more for humanity then all of the accusser's and the respective anti doping angency'd COMDINED!

BLAZING HIPOCRISY AND PIOUSNESS - DAMN ! WE WERE CAUGHT LET'S TAKE DOWN Lance THEN WE WILL BE VIDICATED.!

Are we to believe all these other riders rode not for their OWN glory , but only to support Lance?
What about the glory these other riders received from racing with Lance?
What about the millions UPON millions of dollars the whole cycling community, television rights , increased viewership and thus increased revenue from this; recieved because of what Lance brought to cycling ? Should all this money be given back, and to whom.

What about the millions of people saved , treated and or comforted because of his foundation?

Do you think Lance understood something very good can come from his carreer to help people.
If everyone in the Pelaton WAS DOPING SHOULDN'T EVERY ONE BE CRUCIFIED. They ALL denied it untill they were caught!
Is it because Lance was smarter , a winner , figured out the system, that they so vietmently crucify him.
So, what is it really that bugs people , that he made so much money. Who lifted him up to such status, we did. We love our hero's and we love to bring them down-makes us feel real good about ourselves.
Have any of the accusers and procecutors spent a fraction of the time AND /OR money, that was spent on trying to tear down this icon that we created , to help the afflicted?

As much as I am for a clean sport and honest cyclists, I think we can all admit cycling is way more fun to watch with dopers then a clean peloton. Did anyone watch this years TDF? snooze.....

Hah, that's perhaps true enough. The Giro was a lot more interesting than the Tour. Tactical cycling is not very viewer friendly

Well with the favorites out with injury and suspensions... that's what you get.

I am getting so sick of hearing people wanting to give Lance a pass because he did something for cancer.

I have had a process. I was one of his defenders, and it just kept getting harder as time went on. All the way till the USADA charges, it was easy to think it was a vendetta, let the past be the past, it was an even playing field... But now that the evidence has been released...

Yes, he ran a system like no other.. that we know of. Doping was required to ride with him. He didn't give a rat's but about the rules he agreed to, and he certainly did everything in his power to destroy anyone who said anything. It appears just like other big cases that he used his influence with the governing officials to get special treatment. He won every year because he had the best team every year... because they doped and he paid good money for them... and everyone knows that personally he can be a real jerk.

So is it possible Live Strong is just a front? Sure it is. That he poured so much effort into the foundation because it was his "get out of jail free" card. Of course it is. Sure, the people in Live Strong have done good work, and those with cancer certainly appreciate their hard work. LA efforts on the bike made LS what it is for sure... but LS did just  as much to build up the image of Lance and Lance did to build up the image of LS.

I so enjoined watching LA race those 7 years. It was great... but now we are not finding out the truth... turns out all the those allegations all those 7 years were true. He should have never been there. He should have been suspended. He just didn't get caught holding the bag... as as it turns out he was close to getting caught numerous times. If his motives and means can be so wrong in the majority of his life and those around him... why does he get a pass because of some small aspect of it?

So the Festina team would have been good to go as long as they had some charity operation they were riding for. Operation Puerto Rico should have been swept under the table as long as the riders agreed to speak at some charity dinners? We should have let Contador ride this year as long as he got sick and raised some money for it?

Actions have consequences. Lance agreed to those consequences. He cheated. They didn't take Livestrong from him, they took his cycling career from him. In case it is not well known, those are not the same things. End of story.

you should go to slowtwitch to post this rubbish

"Let's crucify the man who has done more for humanity then all of the accusser's and the respective anti doping angency'd COMDINED!" WHAT!! l.a. takes advantage of poor cancer victims and tries to destroy those telling and seeking the truth.  ALL money sent to livestrong could have been better spent.  his organization hurts cancer victims by limiting money actual legitimate organizations get ie Terry Fox Foundation.

extract you head and give it a shake, the world expects more from you.

the issue is the chronic lying and attempting to destroy those telling/seeking the truth.  time for lance to man up and come clean - and get his wallet open to payback ALL of those he defrauded; nike et al have been nice.....so far

Actually, Arnold admitted openly in a 60 Minutes interview that he (and everyone that he competed against) used PEDs, they weren't illegal when he was competing.

Look at the effect that PEDs had on Baseball this year.  The HR leader had 44 HRs, back in the 'Roid Era you needed 50+ HRs to get in the running.

As a relative percentage of time and income...yes...i'm willing to be that plenty have. Absolute dollars few could compare...but do we measure our willingness to serve 'the afflicted' by how many dollars we can raise or donate?
