Subject: Quintana Roo Kilo owners, question about seat angleI have a 2008 QR Kilo. If you have the same bike, I have a question for you. I think this is pretty specific to this bike, but I might be wrong. I am trying to adjust the seat angle to bring the nose down. On the front side of the seat bracket, there's a threaded rod with a little thing in the center (sorry, not technical) that you can turn to bring the nose up or down. On my bike, I cannot screw it down past a certain point. Even though it's not even parallel or close to it, and the little thing you turn is still several turns above the bottom. I wish I had a picture of this... But I wondered of the Kilo owners: Are you able to adjust the seat far enough down that it is at least parallel to the ground? I don't even that that option and my seat looks ridiculous and is uncomfortable. There's a possible imperfection on the threaded rod that may be stopping it from going down, but I suppose it might be by design. I don't see why I wouldn't have the option though.... If it sounds like a problem, I'll bring it to the bike shop. But I was looking for some anecdotal evidence before I drove the bike the 30 miles to get it checked out. Thanks! |
