Subject: My Tour de France

So I spent 3.5 weeks in bike touring in France in July and I loved it. I wrote up a blog post here.

Has anyone done much touring or do you know of any good routes? I'm in the Pacific Northwest area, so I could tour around Western Washington or Oregon for a long weekend. I'm also interested in doing some touring in the Southern US next summer and Japan the summer after that.

What a fantastic experience.   I've cycled a couple of times in France on family vacations and find the drivers so much more considerate than in the UK and wherever you stop everyone wants to talk about bikes.  Superb cycling nation. Would love to do a proper tour like this one day. Thanks for the blog.
