Current weight: 158.5
Goal weight: 148

Strategy (just putting it here to keep me on track):
NO Starbucks
Bring lunch everyday
Get all planned workouts in (already did that for today -- swim and run!)

ETA: Forgot my other strategy... to run in all four of the PPRR Fall races. First one is on Sunday! Woohoo -- can't wait. It's a 5k that finishes by going a 1/4 mile up a creek!

Today's wt: 125.2

Goal is 122....back to where I was this summer.  I need the accountability provided with this challenge, or I'll eat chocolate all winter!

Hi everyone...I'm ready to get serious!

My weight this morning is 113lbs.

My goal weight is 106lbs.  I am 4'11'' so realistically my range is 94-121 lbs.  I'm most comfortable around 105lbs.

Strategy:  Cut out the junk!!

Oh, the things I do to motivate myself.....

 WI this morning:  151

Goal:  141 by Turkey Trot

Strategy:  Divine intervention (OK, just kidding!  I'm going to try to be a good Weight Watchers follower and add some strength training to my workouts)

Funny how some of us are the same!  I stepped on the shipping scale (yes, for BIG loads) at work this morning and it said 143.  I would like to see 133 by the Turkey Trot.  Here goes....

Since I was asked what PPRR is... thought I'd answer here in case anyone else was wondering. It's Pikes Peak Road Runners in Colorado Springs. Here's the link to their fall race series: http://www.pprrun.org/events/FallSeries/main_adult.htmin case anyone wants to join me! (Although it looks like there aren't many from the Springs doing the challenge.)

Oct 1 - 208.0  and 23%BF  (gained back all the illness weight so my original stated goal of 198.0 is spot on for the 10lbs)

Wish I could come up with the link to a post I read recently about a guy with a goal like this, but kept putting it off 'till the night before the race - I think his was a marathon.  It was an entertaining read, but anyway....  The point of the story, of course, is consistency.

I'm loving all the passion in this thread & the right race at the end can be good motivation.  Almost all the turkey trots this year are now posted at RacingColorado.com.  Some have details still forthcoming, as race directors are not in full Turkey Trot mode yet.  One big one that's not there yet is the United Way run in Denver, but they'll post details soon.  Still lots of time to register.

Yes, I saw that one and thought it looked fun -- different from the normal trot. Want to sign up? Are you in the Springs?

Just weighed in at 153.0 lbs.

Goal: 143 lbs. by Thanksgiving  (and 133 lbs. by Valentine's Day)

Strategy:  Cut out the late night munching, remember to take my Synthroid EVERY DAY, keep a nutrition log (as soon as I get back to Colorado), and if I can't control myself with the nuts, fruit snacks and cheese, don't buy them.  (i.e. stop buying nuts, fruit snacks and cheese!)

I bounced it off the family and might be a day before the race decision.  We are up in Denver so I would only want to travel down for the race if it is a nice day.

Oops - I didn't realize it was already October!! Anyhow, my starting weight as of 10/1 is 140.  Goal weight is 134.  Need to cut down on snacking when I'm working, and remember to take my thyroid meds religiously!!!
