Subject: Wetsuit Rental
I will be participating in the Oliver half next month and I'd like to know if there are any shops in the Okanagan that rent wetsuits? I just tried the one I own this past weekend and it's a bit tight - especially around my chest area. I found it hard to breath but then again, the water temps up here in Smithers are still quite low!

Thanks

There is a Dive Shop in Penticton.  Diving Nautilus (250-490-4635).  There is also another one but I don't know anything about it.  I don't know if they rent wetsuits to triathletes.  I also understand that Fresh Air in Kelowna has (in the past) rented wetsuits - I'm just not sure if they still do.

You could also check with Joe Dixon to see if there may be someone renting wetsuits in Oliver near to race day.

I hear that Tuc el Nuit is really warm already at 20degC.  I'm planning to do the 1/54/10 on the same day but I likely won't be allowed to wear my wetsuit.

How did the race go? Were you able to get a wetsuit that fit?

I'm doing my first tri Saturday. It starts at 7 AM and the forecast is calling for a high of 82 (air temp). Do I need to rush out and get a wetsuit?
