Hello everyone. I usually just lurk here and at Trinewbies and Slowtwitch, (I use the same handle for them) but thought I would just drop a line and say hello.
I have been training since November of 2003 for a sprint distance Tri in July, although I just signed up for one in June.
Back in November I was overweight, active but not "athletic", and just wanted to get back to my military weight. Suddenly, I lost 30+ pounds, found I like riding a bike, and running. So what the heck, let's try swimming and enter some Tri's. So here I am.
I don't say much so I probably will not take over the board, but I am here, lurking in the shadows, drafting in your blindspot..........

Fortunately, we don't DQ for drafting here! Welcome, Brad! Congrats on the weight loss, that's pretty fabulous. So have you reached that ol' military weight yet, or are you still a work in progress, like most of the rest of us??!!?
