Once the tax return gets here I'll be in the market for some new wheels! I'm looking to go with at least 60mm clinchers... obviously deeper would be better. Having a powertap hub would also be a bonus since I'm not training with power yet. Budget is in the sub $1k range.

Anyone got something along these lines?

I have a Powertap Pro+ on a Mavic Open Pro wheel, but also have the matching disc wheel cover for it. Selling for $420 shipped. Still leaves you plenty for a front wheel.

Wheel has approx. 500 miles on it, cover about 3 races. Doesn't include tire or cassette. You can see it here: http://www.fatguysredemption.com/for-sale/

I've got a set of Mavic Cosmic Carbones with a n SL+ PowerTap.
Not quite 60 mm - but a great, bombproof, all-around wheel set.

I have a pair of flo 60/90's I'm looking to sell or trade for a disc brake wheel set. I just decided to do this so I haven't set a price yet. Feel free to offer.

I was going to say find a used PT wheel that you can train on and then cover for races and a 60 from FLO you've got a kick butt setup.

Thanks for the info guys. I sent PM's asking for pics from the guys that didn't already have them up. I'm in an ongoing conversation with the wife right now hoping to get some before my first race in late Feb.

Anyone else have something along these lines?

I am in the process of buying my first tri bike. Because of my size my fitter suggested buying a custom frame but then I have an infinite number of choices for components, wheels, aerobars, etc.

The wheels are my first area of concern and I have started to shop around. I find it nauseating to think of spending the same amount for wheels as my bike. Any help?
