Good afternoon BT.

5:45 AM:  6-1/2 mile run workout.  I was still feeling yesterday's VO2 Max bike workout.  The end of this run I was missing my target paces.

12:15 PM:  1500 yd Swim.  I skipped yesterday's swim because I was completely wiped out from the VO2Max bike workout.  The swim today went great with everything right on pace and feeling good.

Have a great day.

5ish miles of bridge repeats for me.  Was going to do 8 and then the bridge got stuck in the UP position and we were on the wrong side of the bridge  Did a few more just to keep moving.   Running back to the car the long way would have turned this workout into a 15 miler so was quite relieved when it went up after about 20 min or so!

Oh no! There were bridges like that near where I lived in Saigon and Portland and I always wondered if that would happen, but it never did. (I did have to wait for a drawbridge on a bike ride once, though.)

One hour trainer ride here with some Z3 intervals. Plus a very painful and strenuous PT session. I guess it is progress that it can now be strenuous as well as painful--working on strength and active range of motion, not just lying there while the dude tries to get my elbow to bend and straighten! Arm was just like, "What? We have to do stuff again?!"

Easy 4 mile run. Still working out some soreness from Saturday.

Keep up the good work in your therapy sessions. We love a good patient! You’d be surprised how many difficult patients we deal with.

Oh, I am probably the worst kind. I work very hard (2 hours a day on my own), will do anything the PT says (if he said eat dead worms off the driveway, I'd do it), and don't do stupid stuff out of overeagerness. But I cannot help but scream, cuss, and cry on some of the really painful passive ROM stuff. No one else there ever seems to be in much distress. Not sure if I have particularly low pain tolerance (though no one, particularly my coaches and parents, has ever suggested that--I've kind of always been known for my stoicism, even as a toddler), or if my PT's especially painful, or what. Mom claims if I'd given birth I would have better pain tolerance. All I can say to that is if it's worse than PT (surely it is, at least duration wise!), I'd definitely stop at one! And epidurals are not on offer at PT either. (I tried muscle relaxants but they didn't help.)

The PT claims he has other patients that scream, but they try to just schedule one per hour so the real estate office next door doesn't complain!
