Subject: RE: 05.07.2019 Tuesday Training! Oh, I am probably the worst kind. I work very hard (2 hours a day on my own ), will do anything the PT says (if he said eat dead worms off the driveway, I'd do it ), and don't do stupid stuff out of overeagerness. But I cannot help but scream, cuss, and cry on some of the really painful passive ROM stuff. No one else there ever seems to be in much distress. Not sure if I have particularly low pain tolerance (though no one, particularly my coaches and parents, has ever suggested that--I've kind of always been known for my stoicism, even as a toddler ), or if my PT's especially painful, or what. Mom claims if I'd given birth I would have better pain tolerance. All I can say to that is if it's worse than PT (surely it is, at least duration wise! ), I'd definitely stop at one! And epidurals are not on offer at PT either. (I tried muscle relaxants but they didn't help. )
The PT claims he has other patients that scream, but they try to just schedule one per hour so the real estate office next door doesn't complain! |
