Subject: Props to a courteous driver

While out on my ride today, I was nearly run off the road by a pickup truck.  The driver drifted into the oncoming lane to avoid a farm dog and didn't see me.  I was watching the situation and ready to take action (which I didn't need to).

He turned around and drove a mile back towards me to apologize.

(And he distracted the dog for me. )

You're welcome. Again, sorry about that.

I had that happen just a month or two after I started riding a few years ago.  Driver nearly turned into me from a side street and I threw up an arm in frustration (although not a finger).  The driver pulled over a ways up the road and I thought they were going to have it out with me so I simply stopped where I was.  She started driving again so I started going and she pulled into another street and stopped again so I stopped.  This time she finally got out of her car and walked to me and apologized.  She felt bad for the initial mistake and then scaring me by stopping like that.
