Comments:

This is a small local race, 400-500 people. First mile was all about threading thru the pack. Picked it up to mile 4. Throttled back on mile 4-6, picked it up for last mile.
A bit hot for early november. Jumped in the ocean for a quick, cooling and ooohhh so good dip.
Felt good for the pace, a little hot in the mid sections, nice to touch base w/ friends and supporters along the way. Oh, LOL..I lost about 10 sec or so to give my mum a hug and let her take a pic. Came up on her so quickly that she had trouble w. her camera. good time.

Great race pace Glen! Darn, I was thinking about coming down to that race, but didn't know it was just a local job, thought it might have been closed. Ended up doing a 5-miler up here instead.

WOW Glennie, you're just getting faster and faster!!! Congratulations mister!!

Sooooo....no DOM activites allowed since Mum was around to keep an eye on ya this time  Hope Mum got the shot she wanted after you snuck up on her!

What's with this 7.1 miles business? I had to go to the conversion tables big time!! I haven't got a good handle on the distances in miles besides the standard 5k, 10k etc.
