Good morning BT!  Yes!  I slept in!

Heading out in a bit for a 9 mile train run--so happy that my trails are about dried up--no more slipping and sliding in the mud.

After the run and lunch:  40-50 minute open water swim.

Have a great day all!  Hope it's sunny where you are!

PS...Karen glad you're back at it! I'm sure it won't take you long to build your fitness back up!

Got in a great run. It was my short 3.5 mile run but I have been nursing a soft tissue issue in my right ankle for a couple weeks and today it did not bother me on the run so that is good as I need to start getting back into bringing up the distance.

Starting to get psyched for St. George! That was another reason for the short run, I need to get my finances in order today and secure lodging and transportation for the event.

Its time to get serious about training and the weather seems to be improving. Next weekend I travel to Orange County for a 70.3 simulation!

SO today's run:

3.6 mile, 33:50 9:17 avg pace

Tomorrow is pool time, yay swim swimmy swim

"Baby Workout" here:

30 minute easy (very easy) run, followed by 50 minutes in Z2 on the trainer.

Not sunny here--gloomy and muggy all day until the skies broke open around 2 PM with a thunderstorm. Dry season seems to have been cancelled this year!

Hi kids,

4 mile run tonight on a new network of trails that I found and didn't even scratch the surface of. I ran it just as the sun was going down so there were pelicans that flew right overhead, and I nearly T boned a deer that jumped out into the trail no more than 3 feet in front of me. I loved it.

Yesterday I did one of those boot drive things for the rescue group that I volunteer with. We walked up and down the medians collecting donations in firefighter boots for 4 hours and my friend with a fitbit said we walked over 8 miles back and forth. If leg soreness was any measurement, I'd say we did a marathon.

Hope you all have a great week ahead of us!

For my February race, I intentionally picked a small 5k hoping to win my AG. Mission accomplished! 1st place with a blue ribbon even. Small 5k maybe 8 people in my AG. But still, I was the fastest at 24:05. The second place finisher tried to pass me on the last half mile but he couldn't keep up the pace I set.

Feeling confident and cocky, after finally losing some weight, I got off my back side and into triathlon.
