Subject: where can I rent a wetsuit in Atlanta?
I am going to the Florida Challenge the weekend of the 24th of this month. Anybody know who rents wetsuits in Atlanta?

Fleet Feet rents wet suits ...and generally good quality and in good repair.

Since they are not used that frequently, be sure to soak it in water before the race - but in enough time so that it will be dry when you put it on race day morning.

Good luck with your race.

I actually think that Fleet Feet stoped renting wetsuits.  I think I heard they were selling their rental stock early this year.  Call to check to be sure.

You could always check into wetsuitrental.com...they will ship it to you.

They are still selling them ... at ridiculous prices; a used one for $50!  That is roughly the expense of renting one.

I would call the local stores to see if they have your size and then run, don't walk to get it.

I have an Ironman Stealth sleeveless for sale. It's a medium tall (I'm 6'3 170) and I am asking $75 for it (retailed for close to $200).

Good point.

If it is your first time using a wetsuit, then sleeveless is definitely the way to go (less constrictive and easier to get on/off).  Plus they are more versatile in that you can use them in "warmer" temperatures without the risk of overheating.

Thanks guys,

I'll call wetsuitrentals.com to see if they can get a suit to me in time enough to try it out. Appreciate your help.

I looked into renting a wet suit and realized it was $50 plus the shipping to return it.  I ended up finding new wet suits for my wife and I on ebay for $75 each that retailed for over $200.  Both are sleeveless and one is Zoot and the other is Quintana Roo.   If you have 2-3 weeks till your race you might be able to find one.
