What's one piece of gear you love and would recommend to anyone training for a triathlon?

For me it's the North Face Nemesis Running Shirt  - There are lot of running shirts out there that are made with polyester blends to wick sweat away, but this one also incorporated reflective markings (to help keep from getting run over – always a plus) and a little pocket in the back to store a key or access card. It also has a cord port in the pocket in case you want to stash your iPod nano in there.

Two things:

Polar RS200 + footpod.  Easy to use, not so big that the face is bigger than my wrist

Nike Tempo running shorts.  Definitely my favorite running shorts of all the ones I've tried - and they're cute too!  Not sure if they make a men's version

uh... Tri shorts? I don't use them a whole lot for training, but when it comes to racing I see this as the first necessity behind running shoes and bike.

Favorite thing to use for training??  I'm pretty low tech, so I would probably just say the smart-fabric shirts. I can't believe people still workout in cotton shirts!

I would have to say for me it is my Timex Ironman GPS/HR monitor watch that has helped me out incredibly with my running workouts.  Running was not my strong suit and it has been incredible at helping me understand my distances, paces, and HR.

Moving Comfort sports bras!  I would argue that my Fiona bra is more crucial for running than my shoes
