I'm Going to St. Anthony's!

Giver  18427     |  Subject: I'm Going to St. Anthony's!For those of you that don't know, I coach triathletes and runners for Team in Training. I have about 17 folks going to the Country Music Marathon and Half and 8 people going to St. A's. The problem is both events are on the same weekend. So I figured the Leukemia adn Lymphoma Society would send me to the even with the most participants...Country Music in Nashville. But it turns out htey gave me a choice, but are really encouraging me to go to St. A's (since I went to Nashville last year). So the bottoem line is it looks like I actually will be in St. Pete. I'm a little (a lot) conflicted, though. I'm glad I'll be there for my triathletes, but sad that I won't be there for the runners. Before, when I thought my hand was dealt to me, my conscience was clear. But now that *I* have to decide my fate, I feel like I can't win. Oh well. St. A's is going to be a blast! |

Funny how our chapter adopted what they say is a national policy of not sending a coach to any event with less than ten chapter participants. We have 8 going, but 24 or so total between all of the triathletes and runners I coach, so I guess that as long as there's more than the minimum total they justify sending me. Last year I was sweating bullets thinking I wasn't going to get anywhere.
