Hey all - what's the good stuff going in your life this week? Big or small - what's making you smile? Grateful? Proud?

Post it up!

For me:

  • This week I had the 18-20 week ultrasound and saw my little baby (moving around) again - it was moving around quite a lot making it difficult to get all the pictures for the measurements (who knew I'd have an active baby! haha)
  • I started a new job last week and this week I found out that several people on my floor are avid runners/triathletes - so i have some people live vicariously through the season (and I got to tell about my IM this summer)
  • I got a treadmill and used it last night for the first time! it's a seriously nice machine - and should keep me out of the slippery conditions
  • Oh! And we're booking a vacation to Dominican this weekend for a trip in February, yay!!
  • I am still feeling good

Signed up for my first half iron distance tri.

I finished a phase of a project for a client that I hate working with, and the project it's self - I will work with him again in the future but it is over for now.

Found out that I wil be getting a raise in May! Probably not much, but some is better then none.

Looking forward to a Les Mills launch challange tomorrow morning.  5 back to back classes.

I like this thread, a good way to end the week Laughing, it was a better week then I thought it was!

After a mammogram scare, my wife was given a clean bill of health.

I took over 10 minutes off of my 1/2 marathon PR on Sunday after deciding to do the race on Saturday.

Way to go with the 4 for 4 and obeying Rule #9

I only made it once on the bike during the last week at the 23 degrees. I need to go back and read Rule #5 again. I wimped out -- too cold

My seven year old son and I had our first music lesson.  He wanted to learn to play the drums which is something I have always wanted to do.  Rather than sit and watch his lessons for 30 minutes, I signed up too and we experience it all together.

I bought us each a full set which are currently are in our living room.  We have drum wars.  Great fun but my wife is nearing the end of her patience.

Awesome drum story

This week I had a magician at the library and he was fantastic!  The kids were shrieking, the adults were laughing their heads off.  I call it a definite success.

On Monday, I read to Head Start and even the teachers were laughing at my choices

I swam longer (distance and time) than I have since IMFL and my shoulder is still happy with me.

I've started my annual campaign to watch the Oscar nominees so that I can beat my husband--we bet on every category every year.  Some categories get you a prize (use your imagination) or if you lose, a penalty (such as being written on in Sharpie for the costuming category).  So far, I'm ahead of him
