Total Time = 1h 51m 16s
Overall Rank = 81/104
Age Group = 49 and under
Age Group Rank = 0/
Pre-race routine:

Packed the car with gear and bike the night before. Woke up drank gatorade ate a pbj. Checked in, got marked and admired some sweet tri bikes.
Event warmup:

Swam a hundred yards, stretched.
Swim
  • 06m 2s
  • 300 yards
  • 02m 01s / 100 yards
Comments:

The average time is actually faster the time check was at the entrance to t1 and probably took me a minute to get to. I actually finished the swim in the same place which I was seeded. I only got to pass one person on the swim so they do a good job seeding us. My watch fell off when I was trying to pass so I lost time to stop and find it, throw it on the deck and looking for it after getting out.
What would you do differently?:

Put some more time in the pool. I have been concentrating on my running and not putting much time in on the bike.
Transition 1
  • 02m 35s
Comments:

If the timing mat was in the correct place it would have been closer to 3.5 minutes
Bike
  • 55m 13s
  • 12.4 miles
  • 13.47 mile/hr
Comments:

Easiest the best of my 3 tri bike rides. Mostly flat roads.
What would you do differently?:

I need to get a road or tri bike. I need to lose some more weight.
Transition 2
  • 01m 8s
Comments:

Pretty smooth transition
What would you do differently?:

not a thing
Run
  • 46m 17s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 14m 56s  min/mile
Comments:

OK, Today is the first time that I actually could not get my legs running. I did not experience that in my first two tri's. Must have been from riding harder. Combination of walk Run.
What would you do differently?:

Not do a Run the two days prior
Post race
Warm down:

Walked, stretched, Kissed the wife, ate bannana bagel pretzles.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

MY WEIGHT. My legs. Take a rest day at least the day before.

Event comments:

The race director did not start the race right away. He elected to wait for a person who pulled in right at 7. It was a good race but since it was geared mainly for 50 and over, there was only 6 in my age bracket which was 49 and under. I liked it because it was laid back and was a fast course.
