Rock On HELLO HELLO, Just checked back in and I see a few of you are looking for some motivation. Thats Gr8 and welcome to the 5K-A-Day keeps the Doctor away "group". I am happy to say that I am more than willing to help out and help keep everyone accountable. Plus, how can we create a positive message board and encourage others to follow along??? So during this last week of May, can you believe it already, lets start some dialog here. Are you tracking your miles by: iPhone and what generation Pedometer Garmin and which model Bike Quest And maybe a little history or goals or photos of your outings. Its going to be a stellar month and we can so do this. Cheers |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: 100 miles run in June You are now the official cheerleader! I biked this week and swam yesterday. Neither were photogenic OR running/walking worth. Today is another swim and a loooonnggg drive accross the state. HOWEVER, tomorrow, I'll get you a picture. Supposedly there is a great greenway where I am staying for a run. If the thunderstorms and hail don't interfere. I track using a tom tom multisport watch and log things here on BT. The tom tom gets a gps signal about 20 minutes faster than the garmin I used to have. Happy Hump day

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: 100 miles run in June Tomorrow we start! I got 5 miles in at the hotel on Wednesday. Nothing yesterday as I had to teach all day then drive home. Oh... and the "greenway" was pretty scary. I ended up using the treadmill. |

Hello All, This weekend is our Off Road Endurance Race!! Our weather will be totally ideal after all the rain we have seen in our desert this Spring. Legs will be spinning, cardiovascular systems will be burning, and racers will be telling tall tales for the rest of the year. So where are we??? Hows everyone feeling about this upcoming challenge??? Who will pull off a 5K-A-Day for the month??? Will you be able to post photos??? Will you be running/WALKING somewhere new?? Who have you told in your family about this challenge??? Come On Folks, this can totally be YOUR month. Shadow Boy is more than fired up about this challenge and keeps heading out his doggie door when I stand up or walk towards the garage. He gives this challenge four paws up!!! Stay Strong, Stretch Afterwards, and Pound That H2o Cheers |

New user 1351 Austin, Texas | Subject: RE: 100 miles run in June I'm in on this. My mileage was 109 for May so I'll definitely be cranking them out in June. In the next few weeks I'll be traveling some and moving to a new city, so hopefully I'll get some good pictures of my runs. I don't use a garmin, so I map my runs out on www.gmap-pedometer.com before hand. Looking forward to a good month. Best of luck everyone! |

I am tracking miles with a Garmin 910 (just got it last week, wanted the HR function). I think it is smarter than I am. Doing first IM distance this year and using a coach over on Training Peaks, but I love the sense of community here in BT-land. Running is my weakest sport so this challenge will definitely help me. |
