Ohio Street Beach Tuesdays and Thursdays

I think I was going to try to get out there too...my workout schedule is going to be a little light/crazy this week, since it's quarter end, and in the investment/marketing world, that means a lot of late nights, and I am still fighting off a sinus infection, so I doubt I'll be eagerly waking up at 5 to workout either...

I'm going to try to get there as close to 6 as I can.  6:30 at the latest.  Will only be making it an hour long workout at the max in the water.  If it is as cold as they say it is, it may be even shorter.  Going to do a short warm up (300-400?) then do a full 1500 straight through then get in a cool down of about 300-400 easy.  Again, it all depends on the temperature.  I've got another friend that will probably meet us there.

Alright.  Everyone who wants to go on Thursday, meet there no later than 6:30.  We will start the swim right at that time.   I will probably do another one next week, just to get some more OWS in before SoR.  Anyone who can and wants to be there, Ohio Street Beach, 6:30 on Thursday night.

I thought I read that if you swim to Chicago Ave and back it is close to a mile.

First red post in the lake is .25 miles one way.  Post is even with stoplight on LSD.

Second red post in the lake is .5 miles one way.  Post is just before the curve on LSD. 

Yep.  I don't mind the rain as long as there is no thunder and lightening.  I'm getting wet anyway. 

Crowny- that's actually only 1/2 a mile buddy!! 

so i am gathering that there is an area that you can do ows in any time?

are there lifeguards?
