Back to School Runnin’ Fool Team Challenge

School has started and everyone is running:  Cross County, Football, Soccer, Softball, etc.  Introducing the Back To School Runnin’ Fool Challenge (BTSRF) to help with your running motivation.  We also have terrifying mascots listed below to strike fear in your opponent’s hearts.

Here’s how it works…

·         Post in this thread that you want in the challenge, include a running goal (in miles – See “note” below).

·         Challenge runs From Sept  1 to 28.

·         Weeks run from Sat to Friday

·         Participants will be placed with others in teams of 6 to 10. You will be assigned to team randomly as will mascots; this will help you get acquainted with the BT community (complaints? See “Note” below).

·         Each teams pick a team captain and lets me know who it is.

·         Log your miles by Friday Night.

·         Team Captains email me miles for your team members by Saturday (this gives me Sunday to calculate results)(my email is [email protected]).

·         Results posted by Monday at 8:00am (CST)

I know everyone will be trying to get on the “Nads” team.  I can hear the cheer now…

“We’ve got Nads, yes we do! We’ve got Nads, how ‘bout you!”

Now get signed up and start talkin’ trash!

Note:  I am the ‘Runnin Fool’ god. We will be using miles.  If you forget to post miles, too bad.  Don’t like it, too bad.  You post your miles late, too bad.  You like using KM’s – convert them to miles. You want to be considered for an exception, forget it. You want a different mascot- BwHaHaHaHa…too bad. The BTSRF god has spoken.

Can you be in more than one challenge at a time??  IF so than this is a great way to keep me motivated even after my Tri on Sept 21.

MY goal will be 60 miles, about 2 a day average.

I'm in for 70 miles.

I'm loving the Stumpies myself...but as long as I don't have to be some nasty Iowa State thing, I'm all good.

Gosh...I don't know if I can return the dare...it might kill me to wear an ISU avatar. But just for you (oh, and 'cause it's almost football season), I put on the Hawkeye colors.

I'll join.  Goal will be established near the end of August when

1)  I know how far I went in August (goal is 38 miles)
2)  Whether I've got a second screwed-up weekend (business travel)

Tentatively, it'll be in the 45 mile range.

If we need more mascots, Bananna Slugs will be the first new one used; due to popular demand.
