Amanda Beard rips Michael Phelps

She's not a whole lot better, though. Her face is way too square.

The latest is that she was joking - that her and Phelps get along quite well and that she has a funny style of humor.

She said for those that don't know her that it probably came out sounding rude, but she was really trying to joke around.  She apologized and everything... what I heard on the radio this morning ...

... at least that is her story and she's sticking to it...

She has a face? I've never noticed in the pictures I've seen...

Her face isn't any better.  She always kind of looks like a horse. 

Personally, I like this Javelin thrower from Paraguay more...  (Yes, she is a real athlete at the games)

And a large number of the females too, no doubt.

Likewise the female contingent can get past what some perceive as a little dorkiness when it comes to Phelps!  

Yeah, because I hate it when people compliment me on the results of my hard work to get in shape.  Maybe they should just have people with good bodies on quiz shows wearing burlap sacks.  That would be a way to set the example and keep your self respect.

 most likely it could also be a running joke between them,,,

crackers, block of cheese, sardines, tub of bacon fat, whatever.  I think my wife would understand

For real - there have been a lot of very pretty girls in this Olympics - and NOT just the bodies. The bodies are always hot. But the girls have been really attractive. Even I've noticed that.

I can see where you're coming from and I respect that.  But, I don't think there is any difference between a spread in a standard magazine and playboy.  The only difference is a thin piece of fabric.  There is not much left to the imagination.  It's a human body that's it.

I completely agree with be proud of your accomplishments not just our tight abs.  I respect someone that crosses the finish line and is not your traditional "hottie" way more than someone that is drop dead georgeous and just sits on the couch.

Oh I would.  My son is only three so I would assume that he brought her home for me

Oh please - we managed to put together a panel of 15 talking heads commenting on it for almost two hours...

 At least we are putting the athlete's spin on it - I mean come on - a lawyer/talk show host, the NY gossip guy, and the editor of the friggin' Star???
