I thought I would introduce myself. I'm Matt, 23 years old, from California. I've been on this site a couple months and this is my first group challenge. I am currently traingin for a half mary on Oct. 26th. I fell off the wagon in terms of training this month so I reallly need to stay on top of things this coming month.

 If everyone is interested, I will put together a speadsheet where everyone can log their daily mileage. I think it will make it easier for us to see our team progress and far easier for us to report our teams mileage. I will post a link to it once I have it up and running.

Hey Shawn, that emphasis is kinda subtle, but it didn't go unnoticed...the Artichokes will not CHOKE! We might get steamed (perhaps with some butter on the side) but we WON'T choke.

Shoot....I was trying to slip that by.  I guess I wasn't subtle enough

Or we'll steam the other teams, right?  MDHillSlug gets my vote for captain.  Hi team!  I'm Nalani...from Hawaii.  I need this challenge to help me get back on some sort of routine.  I've been a slacker for the past month, and decided this was a good motivator.

I tihnk this will make it easier on our captain to report our totals and also give us a good idea of how everyone else is doing (i.e. easier for you to yell at me to run more )

Hi Matt,

Thank you for taking on creating the spreadsheet. It can stay basically as is, or you can simplify it and just let us keep a running total for each person's per week mileage.

The team average should be done by averaging each person's individual average. I'm not sure if this is what you are doing. Yeah, I know that averaging an average isn't really kosher, but that's how these challenges are done. That way each person contributes equally to the total regardless of how big or small their individual goal is.

Hey everyone, I am Michele from Wisconsin.  This is my first season of Triathlons, and am hooked!  Did 2 Oly's and a Sprint and have one more sprint to go at the end of September. 

This is my second challenge and am looking forward to it.  Have 2 half Mary's this fall and it is the perfect thing to get my mojo going and be accountable!

Hi everyone! My name is Jocelyn. I'm 34, from Long Beach, CA, and this is my second tri season. I have only done sprints so far and don't plan to move up to olys until I can get myself from the BOP to a self respecting middle of the packer! I do have the LA Triathlon in a week and a half, but the rest of the season is up in the air after that.

Running is my weakest sport, so this challenge will be great for me. I'm trying to run three times a week and this will help motivate me!

or

Welcome to September, day one of the Runnin' Fool challenge. I must admit that instead of running today I did a long ride. However, I'll be out tomorrow AM at dawn doing my runnin' thang.

Do we want to call ourselves the " 'Chokes " ? Anyone have a good nickname for us?
