I didn't see one up already, so here it is...

I'm Kristen and I'm in for 70 miles...I may adjust that upwards...after my tri on 9/7 I'm starting to train for my half-mary in November (and I really only like to run anyways...)

My other goal is to beat shawn_barr's team handily because then he will don the Iowa Hawkeye colors (or so he says). I think he'd rather die.

I will don the dreaded colors from that school on the east side of the state.  Rather die...not quite.  I was a Hawkeye fan growing up due to my Dad's influence.  So I still have somewhat of a softspot for them (wait, did I really say that!).

Beg, bribe, or coerce someone to be your team captain.

Let me know who it is.

Thanks!

I may actually sneak a training tri in on 9/7 it is a mini sprint with a 1/2-5-2 breakdown. I come from UCONN country and live 5 mins from the coast. Nice to meet you all!!!

I can be coerced...so long as no one else really wants the job. I also accept bribes.

Hi, I am Terri.  This is my second challenge.  Did the June Move It or Lose it challenge.  My team took second by a hair.  Enders Shadow was on my team.  Cool, glad to be back.  Working on logging miles for a half in November and slowly working my way to a full next spring.  Just need motivation to keep on keepin' on so this challenge was right up my alley.

I forgot how to paste the team roster and Mascot into my goals.  Instructions please?

I am Travis and I am down for 100 miles.  Actually scheduled for closer to 110+ for Sept, but decided to give myself a little buffer room.  I have my second Marathon set for Oct 19th (Denver Marathon, Denver CO).  Unfortunatly I am still adjusting to the altitude change since I just moved to CO in June, since I am in the Marine Corps.

So we have a "Skipper" (loving term for Captain in the military, derived from Naval traditions).  That's awesome.

We are getting closer to the start, I hope everybody is ready to come out of the gates in a blaze of glory.  I have a 10 mile race on the 1st, so should be a good start to the event.  Might up it to a 16 miler so I stay on pace for my Marathon training, but haven't decided yet.  Good Luck everbody and Go Stumpies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Late starter here!

My name is Mirjam (spelled funny, pronounced like "Miriam").

I'm doing an Olympic Tri on Saturday so my mileage will be a little low this week (taper, sorry) but then I go headlong into Philly Marathon training!

I'm in for 85 miles.

So...do we have a mascot like those super slow Billikens (which looks kinda creepy in my opinion...am I right)?

And to echo a previous poster, how do we post the team roster/mascot and such on our logs?

Gooooo, Stumpies!!

Alrighty, so it is finally Sept which means it is time to put up or shut up.  I started this month with a cool 16 miles.  Now just to keep that kind of momentum going and I should be fine.  How is everybody elses first day of the challenge.  Now to enjoy the rest of Labor Day and get a burger.
