OK, I know the 10-day does not take us quite there yet, but never too early to start obsessing right!!

The local channels are speaking of a possible cool front to come through the middle of next week. "Possible" is the key word here.  The weather people are rarely accurate in this town.  They said we had a 100% chance of rain with Ike, and did we get a single drop of rain?  NO!

It is fairly pleasant in the shade though.  Oh wait, there is no shade on the Longhorn run course. I'm thinking we'll need ice...lots of ice!

I am so psyched up for this race, that right now, I don't think any weather issues are going to get to me.  If it's rainy, it's cooler--there aren't crazy downhills to be scared of like at BSLT in the rain...if it's overcast and cool-AWESOME; if it's hot and sunny, well, it's not looking like it'll be hotter than what I've trained in thus far, and the good news is--we ALL get to play in the same weather...so it makes for a common denominator! I just say BRING ON THE LONGHORN!

Very nice.  Let the obsessing begin.  I need something to do with my time now that I'm in full taper mode.

We can only hope that 10-day forecast stays pretty accurate. Those would be awesome race day temps.

Anything has to be cooler than the inside of my house right now! We're still without power and the mosquito's have come out full force. I'm freaking out because there aren't any safe pools or rivers/oceans to swim in near my house. A 3 week swimming taper wasn't on my plan!

I'll be ready for the heat. If I don't dehydrate in the meantime!

No fair!  How do you get a 10 day that shows the 5th!  My 10 day is only going through the 4th!

But that means starting tomorrow I can obsess too!

I'm not sure why I'm bothering.  It won't be 115 degrees with 100% humidity and blowing sand....so...the weather will surely seem perfect to me no matter what!

The mosquitos are everywhere! I am fully covered in bites now even though I've been dousing myself in bug spray every time I leave the house. Where are you located? If you're towards North Houston - in the Woodlands, the YMCA on Shadowbend and the 24 Hour Fitness near the mall both have pools open. I'm without power too, the novelty has more then worn off. I'll keep my fingers crossed we both get it back quickly.
