I know there was a previous post on this but I'm just to lazy to go find it.  We're bringing our twins , 2-1/2 years, and was wondering who else is and if their is anything going on for them to get into on Halloween.

I e-mailed someone at the Chamber of Commerce about this as I am guiltily dragging our 4, 6, and 8 year olds away from home on Halloween. They told me Pier Park has a costume competition and crafts of some sort. Panama City Mall, which is in Panama City, not Panama City Beach, has trick-or-treating. The Zoo has some sort of activity, although I'm not sure what. I also saw somewhere else that some community called Nautilus Cove Resort, a condo community, advertises trick or treating, hay rides and a haunted house from 5-8 pm. Not sure what we'll do yet. I need to try to find out more details I guess when we get there.

I live in Panama City and don't have kids, but periodically hear about Halloween events in the news. Today I heard about a Pumpkin Patch and Haunted Trail for kids at the local Junior Museum. More info here:

http://www.jrmuseum.org/events.htm

A while back, I heard about a Halloween event at the Zoo on the radio, but I don't remember the details. For adults, there's a large Halloween party at Schooner's and probably every other bar/club in PCB. The local paper's website also lists a few Halloween-related activities:

I will have a 7-year-old and a 11-year-old along if anyone wants to get together for Halloween. Trick-or-treating at the Mall sounds promising, although I don't really want to do too much walking the night before the race.

My mother who lives in Panama City Beach, just told me that Pier Park is having a Halloween for the kids from 6-8pm on Friday night. The store will have candy for the kids and I think there is a costume contest also. Pier Park is located right on the bike course about 3-4 miles from the start and finish.

Jay,  I was down there last year and remember some others stating that there was a nearby Condo/Community where many of the kids did their trick-or-treating.  I will see what I can find for you.

here is what I found from last year's thread...

Trick-or-Treat with the Seaside Merchants
Safe Trick-or-Treating through the Merchants of Seaside
4pm-6pm
Downtown Seaside, No charge

Don't know if this is the same for this year, but you should be able to find out.  other items listed were the mall and Zoo World.  I am still searching for that community that was discussed.  try the Chamber of Commerce, always good info.

Seaside is about 25-30 miles from PCB, that would be pretty good drive, it is a nice area.

LOL.  My fears as well.  I'll be there with my 9 and 11 year old and we MUST do something.  Hubby will be at the get together Thursday night (flying tiger) so if anyone wants to plan something get with him.  I'll be getting in very late Thursday evening so I won't get to meet anyone until Friday.

Anyone up for just picking a time to meet at the Boardwalk hotel (poolside maybe?) and let the kids trick-or-treat there?  We can all bring candy and let the kids go from group to group.   Just having the opportunity to get candy & wear costumes w/ other kids around would make my crew happy.
