Hi everyone-

I guess I get to be the first to introduce myself...My name is Katie and I live in Chicago...I have done one tri and am now hooked and training for next season.  My limiter this month is going to be running in spite of the terrible weather here!  Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning!

Running is my limiter! I'm needing to work my up to running three times a week so I've commited to alternating 3x run weeks with 2x run weeks in December for a total of 12 run (with each run at least 3.4 miles). I'm looking forward to a great month with a great team!

Good morning team,

My name is Kathrin and I live in Upstate South Carolina.

I am planning on doing my first sprint tri in May 2009 (the latest). Last month I did my first 8K and first 5K. But running is definitely my limiter and I have to get more consistent, so I am down for 12 sessions in December.

I am looking forward to a new challenge and a new challenge team.... Those challenges just seemed to work to get my butt moving! But also nice to see some familiar names... Hi to Katie, Amy and Emily.

Half of the month I will be gone to celebrate X-Mas with my family in Germany, so you might won't see me around too much, but I will make sure to get my workouts logged!!! PROMISE!!!

Hello team.  Finally decided on my actual goal.  Despite extensive travel for work I'm going to shoot for 100 miles.  It's going to require some effort but what's a challenge for anyway?

I wish you all the best on your own goals.  Dec isn't always an easy month to meet them but I think we all can do it!

On Blitzten...

Hey Team, I am Robin, I live in western NC (REALLY close to upstate SC). I just started all of this last April and have done one sprint so far. I am playing with the idea of a longer tri this year but we will see how much time I have to train.

My limiter is... well... I chose running THIS month.

Let's "Blitzen" through the month.

Hey Katie,

I lived in Chicago from 85-91 while working on my doctorate at U of C. I brought my bike out there and tried one ride along the lakeshore and decided it was too crowded and the surface was often dangerous. It was something like 15 years before I got back on a bike. I haven't been back since '93. I don't miss the winters.

I went to med school at U of C and am now a resident at the hospital...the lakeshore can be dangerous and I tend to use it more for running than I do for biking.  I don't like the winters either, but the summers at least kind of make up for it

Hi there, Team Blitzen!

I'm Emily.  I just finished my first year of triathlon - four sprint races - and have decided to spend the off-season improving my run speed.  50 miles is the goal.  I managed to get good and sick over the holiday break so I'm already off to a slow start.

I'm looking forward to winning this challenge!  Go, Blitzens, Go!

Hi everyone!

I'm Amy and I really want to get better at running. I set my goal for 12 hours, so hopefully I will be a stronger runner by the end of this month.
