Expert  908   Niskayuna, New York |  Subject: Keuka Lake TriathlonSo I was looking at NY races today and I saw that the Keuka Olympic distance is this years NE Region Championships. Anyone planning on racing there this year? I'm thinking about changing my plans so I can give it a shot. |

Veteran 297 horseheads | Subject: RE: Keuka Lake Triathlon it's a great event.... it was my first tri 2 seasons ago. i had a blast. water is a little bit brisk. but it's a fairly shallow part of the lake so it warms up pretty quick. (can i say that when it is 0* outside right now?) you guys will have fun |

Master 1485 | Subject: RE: Keuka Lake Triathlon It is a very well run race and the venue is perfect. Last year the waster was cold and the air temperature was hot and humid. After the race many of us went back down to the water just to cool off. I am signed up and would highly recommend this race.

you can qualify with a top 33% or top 5 finish in the sprint at regional championship races. Top 3 at all other USAT sanctioned events, sprint or olympic. The only race at the championship is Olympic. I read this right from USAT website.... |

I have but a lot of effort into my running this off season time to see if it pays off! Doing IMKY this year so this is the first event that kicks it all off! |

Sleeved or sleeveless? Keuka Lake is typically still pretty cold around then. If you have a choice, I'd use a full suit. |
