20,000 posts of substance, ok, maybe not every single one of them was of substance

Hmmmm, what to post?  Where to start?  What to say?

I became a member of BT in August of 2006.  I joined because there were some free training plans available.  I sort of thought the whole concept of posting in threads with strangers was kind of weird. – (I know hard to believe that now!)

Then I found the challenge forum………..and though it may sound silly to some, it was one of the best things that ever happened to me.  Not only has my fitness continued to improve, my training is more consistent, I’ve done things that I never would have thought I could do, and I’ve *met* some of the most wonderful, inspiring people I could ever hope to meet.  I’ve even gotten to meet a few of them IRL and hope to meet many more in the future.  One of my favorite features of the site is the ability to leave inspires and to be inspired.  I can’t tell you how much the messages, words of wisdom, bits of humor, sound advice, pics, and so on brighten my day every day!

I love reading your blogs and your posts, the many personalities and stories weave a most wonderful colorful tapestry.

My friends I have so much to thank you all for, this has been a year of many changes – you’ve helped me through commuting across country, starting a new job, the trials and tribulations of raising teenagers.  Your thoughts, prayers, and positive vibes have indeed made a difference!

My favorite haunts on BT are the challenge forum and the Mentor Forum – Nibbs, you are like family – Dee with her tasers and ever changing avatars, Mila and her whips and tiaras, Cat and her endless positive energy, the VA Nibbs – Kristen , Judi, and Jen – maybe someday I’ll get to race with you guys! Phil and TOPPAGE.  Hector I miss you, Sal – who knew there was a color called Sparco Yellow and it was awesome to meet you in person!, Bill – thank you for the running plan – you helped me find the right training for my first ½ mary, Kendra – you still owe me a story , Pam – you are a lady of courage, I can’t wait to read your IM RR! Mel you are one busy lady, Emily – you crack me up – so do boogers freeze?  Amy – thank you for dubbing me Tinkerbeth Heather – hope you get lots of snow!  Bill – love your insights into the whole teenager thing!  Sharon – your serenity and wisdom is inspirational.

Challenge teams – you ROCK! The Twisted Blisters, the Horny Melons, and the Vixens, just to name a few!  Thank you for your continued inspiration and support {{MELON PRESS!!}}  Julie - our meet up in San Fran was awesome and I can't wait until next year!

A major milestone callout – Kristin!  Thank you, thank you for braving absolutely frigid temps to pace me for my very first ½ Mary!  The weekend in NYC was awesome!  Rudy!  Thank you for loaning me your gloves!

A most special thanks to Yanti, not only a Nibb, but a most special friend and co-mentor of the Manatees – you have a spirit that lifts us all!

Manatees old and new! – you are a most special group of people!  Special thanks to Steve – thank you for knowing what to say and when to say it (or not ), for your incredible support and encouragement.  Erin and Suzy– what can I say?  I might become a runner after all!   Jeannette – your positive outlook and perseverance help me every day to keep on keeping on!

Thank you to my WW and Friends of WW – Dana, Laurie, Kate, Peggy, and John – I believe that’s where we *met*   although I’m not actively doing WW anymore – your support of a healthy lifestyle is invaluable!

Nebraska Peeps! Allison, Brynn, and Brian - you're the first BT'rs I met IRL - B.A.B.E.s ROCK!  Tony, what can I say, thank you for being a friend for so long

*sigh*

*pause*

I guess what I’m trying to say is that BT is a very wonderful community and I am happy to be a part of it.

I seriously hope I didn't forget anyone!

Thanks to Mike and Ron for creating and maintaining such a positive place to be!

And, for old times sake – here are the pom poms   -

PS

Would some of you boyz please start posting in Nibbs again?

TINKERBETH!!

That is quite the typing accomplishment you reached!  So, when are you going to workout?

The best part of a challenge is not only being able to fulfill that challenge, but having the chance to meet some wonderful peeps.  You certainly are one of those extra-special persons that I have met and still enjoy chatting with!  I have a lot of fun stopping in when you and the "gang" (SuperCat, Yanti, Kendra, Deedeedee ) are around.

Congratulations on completing your 1/2 Mary with a little help by that New Yawk Hawtie.

Keep on inspiring, keep on challenging yourself, and keep with that super-positive attitude!

*BIG PRESS*

*dang, no TOPpage out of this*

Beth, it has been such a pleasure to get to know you over the past few months. You have become such a special friend in a short amount of time and have been a big support when I needed it most. It was really great to be able to share your first half marathon with you! And it looks like I might get to share the second as well. The challenges aren't the same without you. Remind me to request your team again next time!

It wouldn't have mattered. We'd all have come by here anyway. We'd have wondered what you were saying "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM" about. LOL

(Could it be a cabana boy, even?)

OK, I looked it up:

X with a bar over it means "10,000."

But I don't know how you'd draw the bar here.

So MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, it is.

(However many M's that was supposed to be, anyway. LOL)
